Hey VJ Family, ok here's the situation. I am adjusting status from the VWP coming from England. My interview is on February 19th so my Wife and I are trying to get everything together. If any of you could please go over what i have and comment or add in suggestions that would be great. I am very nervous, my Wife isn't, for some reason!

But this is what we have:

- Joint checking account with direct deposit and bills being paid from

- Joint health insurance (i am on her insurance plan)

- Affidavit from my mother-in-law stating our situation and that we are currently living under her roof for as long as we wish. (the house is owned.) -

- Paychecks and slips dating from 3 months back until now for both of us.

- My British passport, I-94 slip and return ticket dated for August 27th.

- Affidavits from various family members in England, including my mother and father stating that i was only visiting for the summer and that the marriage, despite making them happy they were shocked about.

- Affidavit from my former employer, stating that i was due to return to work in September and my time off to visit the U.S was approved before i left.

- Wedding Album

- Vacation album from summer 2008

- Various pictures from around the house and out with friends.

- Cards that we received for our wedding, and also Christmas cards (+ envelopes) addressed to us both.

- Our marriage certificate

I also have been added to the family's cell phone plan here, i'm not sure how i would show evidence of that though. My MIL is in charge, is there anything i could ask her for to take with me?

Other than that, how am i looking? Any suggestions?

Thank you in advance!

-Richard

The AO asked if we had any additional documents ect, that we would like to submit to them. The letters from the employers were one of them, along with a few other papers.

They basically stated our start date at work, how many hours we worked a pay period, full or part time employee, and managers name and phone number.

ETA: So, no we werent specially asked for them, just additional info we had to submit.

Hi,

Just take the original marriage certificate with you... it should be ok... ours she didn't ask for it but we had it handy.

as for the letter of employer... she asked for a copy of my current pay stub (I'm the petitioner) and she was ok with that.

don't be nervous... you be fine... just remember dates, like your marriage date, when you met, when you enter USA, where was your port of entry... these were the questions the officer asked my husband... maybe because my husband's English isn't very good... lol :star:

good luck to you

Why would you need a lawyer? Certainly not solely based on entering via VWP? Be honest, confident and positive - you'll be fine.
