Hi guys,

Looks like we've just joined the RFE club!!

Can't find out what it is as it's the weekend and no operators available until Monday

This process sucks the life out of you doesn't it????

Oh well, that's just ruined my weekend

Oh no dvrjwh! That sucks!! I was hoping that we break the cycle and start getting approval without getting RFEs.

What does the AVR say exactly? If it was just a general "missing or incomplete" type of message, there's a chance it's a false RFE.

mine said "the nvc reviewed your documents and found information missing or incomplete" the DS-230 made it into the system on Apr 30, the AVR is May 1. so theres a chance that this is a false RFE? O well, there goes my weekend....and today is only saturday too

But her RFE was issued on her DS-230. If your DS-230 has just been entered into the system on April 30, I doubt they were done reviewing it yesterday.

I mailed my RFE package last Tuesday, and it made it to the system yesterday as confirmed by operator and AVR this morning. It was a stupid mistake on my part. I submitted my 2008 copies of 1040, W2 and 1099, but I didn't put 2008 as my last filed return. They wanted me to submit an updated I-864. Hoping to get my case completed on Tuesday or Wednesday.

are you sure they are asking for the adjusted gross income? they are asking for the total income, adjusted gross income is only for the 1040EZ. i dont think we have 1040EZ, just the regular 1040

are you sure they are asking for the adjusted gross income? they are asking for the total income, adjusted gross income is only for the 1040EZ. i dont think we have 1040EZ, just the regular 1040

Yes, I'm pretty sure. I didn't use 1040EZ either, I used 1040A to file my returns. AGI is your total income after taxes. That should reflect on your transcript or 1040 form (which ever version you used).

For instance my AGI is what was reported on my W2 plus 1099-INT.

I put my total income in Q23 (current annual total income) for 2009.

yea, its waiting for your DS-230 but the thing about mine is that last week, it stated that its waiting for the biographic forms. so thats pretty much the DS-230. now, it updated to this. so im really worry that its a real RFE

Check out the NVC forum Kevinbui86. There's a couple of people who got the exact same message and it meant that NVC was just awaiting the DS 230. As your DS 230 has only just arrived, and mine is due to get there early next week, it could be the same situation. Lets hold on to that thought so we can get through the weekend.

what did u put on your I-864 as your income? did you use your total income or adjusted gross income? i put down the total income and now Carlish is saying that you needed the adjust gross income. could that be my RFE? but if so, why didnt it say it in my AVR with the financial evidence. arrggggg :angry:

Sorry not sure about the I864 Kevinbui86, hubby did all that - I'm the beneficiary and did the ds 230.

He's bringing a copy of all his paperwork over later this month, so I've got it for the interview (heaven knows when that'll be)!

Trying very hard not to be stressed and to remember that we've got this far so quickly in comparison to many others. I'm trying to count my blessings and be positive - but it's not easy

Please tell me, when you email NVC, do you get that autmatic response email immediately or after two or three days. I emailed them on Thursday and I still have not gotton any auto response. Is it normal??
