Why are you sure you will get RFE?

I am planning to send my AOS and IV packets at the same time as well ...

I spoke to 6 different reps today and each of them gave me a different answer. The one that sounded the smartest told me that my case is very confusing, so I should send my docs in as fast as possible, and if nvc needs something, they'll ask for it".

It has to do with my co-sponsor, my uncle. He filled his tax returns jointly with his wife, and he has income from three of his businesses, but its all combined with his wife's. Its just very difficult to separate his and his wife's income. And, I dont believe the people at NVC to be very smart. So, lets see what happoens. haha

Hey, and I would suggest that you send 864 whenever its ready. Cuz it'll save time in case anything goes wrong. I hope it doesnt for you.

I haven't filed my 2008 taxes yet, that's why I didn't send it in. I wanna have that "married filed jointly" ####### in my file :)

I may end up sending it without 2008 taxes, I don't know yet. People have had their AOS packet reviewed and completed in matter of days lately, so it may not delay my case too much. I am hoping ... :)

Hope all the uncle stuff clears up quickly for you!

I am reading over the DS-230 stuff and says that we need to submit the certified documents for husband as well as photocopy of those documents.

This will sound stupid, but do I send a photocopy and certified copy, or do I send a certified copy plus photocopy of the certified copy ? Hope this makes sense :)

If I am reading it correctly, I can do either or, but I was wondering how did you all do it?

Thanks!

I submitted original/certified copies plus photocopies of the certified copies.

Don't send it without 2008 taxes as it is now required for all the cases that are being processed after April 15. Unless you filed for extension?

It worked out well that I sent my I-864 as soon as I had it ready. By the time they started reviewing my DS-230 package, I found out about the RFE on I-864. I sent the RFE package just around the time DS-230 was accepted. It hasn't delayed my case that much.

I'm a bit worried about my AOS because my 2008 taxes I had two businesses (both tax write offs for me) but I have since stopped both business as they were only costing me money. I wrote in my cover letter that both businesses have been stopped so I hope they understand. I still have my farm, just not going to claim it on my taxes. My tool business I haven't done anything with since October and I did report on my taxes that I stopped that business.

I did file for an extension. More and more I am thinking that I should just go ahead and send AOS with my 2005,2006 and 2007 taxes + proof I filed for extension. Maybe even include letter why I have filed for extension -waiting for paperwork from husband in order to file married filing jointly.

Should I still submit any financial info for 2008, maybe my W-2 forms that show my income and that I was employed all year... that plus payment stubs for past 6 months to show steady income ...

I don't know, the more I think the more I am psyching myself out about what to do :)

When do you expect to file for 2008 return?

If you decide to send AOS package without 2008, it's great idea to include 2007, 2006, and 2005 returns plus proof that you filed for extension. Write a letter that you intend to file soon. I think Champi did the same thing. You may want to write her a message and inquire about it. Her case was approved few weeks ago.

I lost my marriage certificates, my social security card, NOA1, NOA2, and the tax transcripts I have ordered couple of months ago.

Must have thrown it out in one of my cleaning frenzies. I wanna rip my hair out now.

I have turned my house upside down looking all night and all morning...

How are the rest of you doing?

I am laughing maniacally because I am about to exlode right now :lol
