OF COURSE I the NVC Case # memorized. It's the invoice number I don't know It starts with a 2 and has a 1 and 9 somewhere in it - does that count for anything????

I know mine, and the NVC case# and the receipt number from my NOA1 back in March I'm such a loser

The only reason I remember is because my invoice number is very similar to my cell phone number and for the case number and receipt number my husband came up with some creative ways to memorize them, he always does that ...

Heehee I guess I'm a loser too, because I memorized all those numbers. It wasn't on purpose though. I guess it was just from typing them in so many times.

But I didn't pay online, I just went online to the page and the $70 says it hasn't been paid, I guess I have to wait for it to be posted online? or since I didn't do it online wait until they send me something? Should I call and ask them tomorrow?

Ah... hhmm.... I don't have any experience with mailing it, so I'm not sure how long it will take to post PAID. Maybe someone else can jump in that's paid by mail. Either way, once the payment posts PAID, you can send in your packages, it will just take longer for the payment to post since it was by mail.

I must admit I haven't really been reading all visa info in depth, I just kind of solicit answers from people who are ahead of me in the process as most of you are very well aware

So I am reading over DS-230 info and I see that we will have to pay $380 for the visa upon hubby's approval at the Bosnian consulate...

Somehow I missed this info before I thought that after the $400 IV bill we just need to pay for medical exam and that's it.

Oh, well ... Just thought I'd throw this out there for any other suckers who aren't reading carefully like me

This information we compile ourselves based on the development of our individual cases. I just typed mine in my signature, it helps other people compare their cases to yours ...

On that approval letter that you received there is a phone number for NVC. Call that number and there is an automated response that tells you once a case number has been assigned to you. You will need that receipt number from your approval letter (NOA2). don't get discouraged if you dont get case number right away, it takes a couple of days.

Once you get that number, you can email NVC at this address: NVCInquiry@state.gov and let them know who will be your agent of choice (you, your spouse, your lawyer, whoever). Agent of choice is what the form DS-3032 is all about. You can either email it to them or send it via mail.

Some people have received an email from NVC as soon as their case number has been assigned and they actually send you all the instructions what to do.

Anyway, like I said, you don't have to wait for that email.

NVC will email you also the AOS bill, $70. It has an invoice number on it, and you will type in that invoice number and your NVC case number here on this site:

There, you can pay the AOS bill, and keep checking the site until it shows status as PAID. As soon as that happens, you can print a cover sheet for your AOS package and send it in.

Anyway, I am sure I am skiping steps here, but what I am trying to say is you or your spouse will receive all this info via email address that you provided on your I-130 petition, and it will lead you step by step. The timeline you asked me about you will fill in yourself based on the date when all these steps happen.
