Carlish,

I am looking at your time line and cannot believe it has been a month already since your case number was assigned. I feel like it was just yesterday that the whole NVC thing started developing ... I guess I was so prepared for this process to take like a year, so I am pretty shocked that it's going so fast for all of us:)

There WAS a time when it took 6 months to a year to get through NVC.

On the other end of the spectrum, a VJer used the LingChe guide to get through NVC in 11 days. No expedite, no contacts, just being prepared and knowing when to send what.

Good luck.

LingChe NVC Guide

Using this guide may allow you to fly through NVC in as little as 11 days.

Just for all future questions, we paid the IV fee before the e-mail was generated and we did not have any problems with it... so I don't think that you have to wait. It is a matter of personal choice... whatever you are comfortable with.

My husband got the correct police certificate this morning and mailed it to me a few hours ago. I know this because he kept calling me in the middle of the night to ask me questions, hahaha.

Anyway, even using the fastest delivery option, it probably won't get here until Tuesday or Wednesday next week. Then I have to scan it in and send it to the translator, pick up the translation, and then send the package to the NVC.

So, I guess we too are playing the waiting game once again (but not even with NVC yet). :(

::thinking happy thoughts::

:star:

I kind of want to call NVC and see if the AOS package has been accepted, but I am scared. hahaha. I don't know if I could handle getting another RFE at this point... but we did submit that package before the DS-230. We will see if I can muster up the confidence at lunch today...

Hope you are all doing well!

Taj and Betsy...

I wouldn't get too caught up with checking your case status on the USCIS website. It still says that our case has been received and is pending (and the last touch was on Feb. 27). We got our NOA2 in March. Basically, I am trying to say that I do not think that it is very accurate and they do not update it very often.

We're hoping you get some good news soon!

Great to see everyone's progress.....sent in DS 230 package today- and I just spoke to NVC - they confirmed that my AOS package has been accepted. Thank God! My hubby and I , checked and rechecked everything. So hopefully all will be well.

Sombercat....looks like the Montreal Interviews are moving along.....and we are both proceeding at the same pace.....it won't be long....

Rehan....doesn't an NVC error qualify you for an expedite? Maybe you should call NVC and speak to a supervisor....I am not sure but it won't hurt to try...

I am so grateful for this site.....you guys are the best! :energy::energy:

I noticed that about the Montreal interviews. I nearly fell out of my chair a few nights ago when I saw how many people got theirs for June. Barring any RFEs for us, it looks like you, Holliday and myself should be there around the same time. No RFEs, no RFEs, no RFEs. :star:

Question: when you say in your timelines "I-864 package received" by that you mean that the cover sheet has been generated, correct?

I mean, i don't need to wait for anything else to be sent to me if I paid the bill and have the cover sheet with barcode?

No need to wait for anything else. Send it away!

No need to wait. You can go ahead and send your AOS package as soon as you have the bar-coded cover sheet printed out.

I know what you mean. I wasn't expecting to get out of the USCIS till after 3 or 4 months. But now most of us are in the final NVC stage already after almost 3 months of filing the petition. If God permits, we will all be with our spouses this summer or fall. It's really amazing. :star:

I'm scared too to call NVC to ask about our DS-230. I don't think I can deal with any more RFE right now. I need a break. Bu maybe I will call this Friday... maybe.
