Bad news/GREAT NEWS

So, took Kevins advice and called NVC about not claiming my son as a dependent. The one out is if child is age of majority and you do not claim them on your taxes. Well, my son IS of age of majority and I won't claim him on future taxes so I didn't want to count him, I did claim him in 2008. I explained that their wording for the instructions are in present/future tense so it didn't have to claim him. The operator insisted it isn't what will happen it's what has happened, she even asked her supervisor. I filled out my I-864 NOT claiming him and then wrote out a big long explaination on my cover sheet. I was printing my tax forms out very sure I am going to get an RFE over this when....... a thought hit me (THANK YOU GOD FOR THE THOUGHT!) I can ammend my 2008 returns and delete my son!!! So, I did it and it made absolute NO difference in my return!!!! So now I am filing the 1040X and have a printed copy of my 1040 without my son on it for NVC!!!! I LOVE FINDING THE HOLES IN MY ADVANTAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations, Mumtaz!!

Welcome to the prego club :)

I am so happy for you both... it is such a blessing.

I just hope that you and your husband will be together during your pregnancy and for the birth of the baby... it has been really hard going through all of this without Ben, especially since it is the first time for both of us.

But, we also consider ourselves to be very blessed because we are all healthy. This too shall pass and I know that Ben will be here soon.

Try to enjoy life now before you get too big! SLEEP IN!! You will never be able to enjoy a long night of restful sleep again after a few months.

Don't know if I should post this here or under NVC forum.

Question: On the I-864 form Question # 25 - Federal Tax Return Information

I have filed my 2008 taxes (was only for 4800.00, only work 4 weeks in USA)

For 2009 I am salary at 65,000.00

I am planning on submitting

2008 tax transcript

Letter from employer

all paystubs from 2008/2009

Is this enough to submit? Or do I have to finish my 2006 and 2007 taxes submit them to IRS and wait upto 8 weeks for them the IRS to complete. (Long story why this hasn't been done), do I even check the box saying that I have submitted the last 3 years?

OK, AOS is showing paid. How do I get that cover sheet? Nothing is clickable.

Never mind found it. Guess if actually READ the instruction like a normal woman instead of letting my male personality come out I would have known right away where to go.

 Too true.

WOOHOO!!! AOS FEE PAID as of 21st of April(yesterday)! Finally....I was beginning to get worried!

Though....I called nvc today and the avr says they will be sending out my aos package now......that definitely is big reassurance but how come I can't see the ds230 fee amount and also how come I can't click or select it to pay yet? Does this mean they will let me pay it only once the aos has been generated or accepted.....errrr...what does it mean???

also, I selected to get the reciept and the cover sheet emailed to my email account rather than the print option seeing as I don't have a printer hooked up to this laptop here.....and will have to print it out at a friends house..........but i havent recieved that email yet? email usually doesn't even take 5 minutes......in fact thats pretty slow. so...hmmmm.

Chrissy e Ben....I wish you the best of the best of luck on your expedite and am and will keep praying for your early interview!!!! I totally feel for you girl!!!!! Don't let yourself get too worried about the expedite, im sure it'll help you get a interview asap! INSHALLAH(may god will it so).

And I thought I'd share some more good news with you guys.....even though it's totally off-topic......but that's us feb filers for anyone who isn't aware....hehe. Yesterday I went to the doc to get a full blood test done among other things (being in pakistan kinda makes me paranoid for hepatitis and sooooo much more..lol) and was just curious as to why I hadn't gotten my period for over 48 days.......which isn't a big deal for me, as its usual for me to miss a period or two once in a while.......but still, medical is damn cheap here so i gave it a go........and found out that same day that i am completely healthy....and totally pregnant! Even though I have PCOS and not to mention several large ovarian cysts that once my doc in the u.s saw in the ultrasound a while back she told me idhave the hardest damn time trying to conceive....maybe even impossible! But i guess......BOOYAH! LOL! I'm really excited!!! And that's nothing to how my husband reacted...lol. He's hysterical with excitement! lol. Good things seem to be happening for us.....I sure pray it stays this way for a while.....at least untill this case is complete and we're both safe and at home in NY very soon INSHALLAH! :D.

Holy cow!! A big congratulations to you both. I can see your faces beaming from here.

We certainly haven't forgotten about any of you which is why we asked for NOA2 updates. We all have our fingers crossed for you. Please don't take this the wrong way, but unless you can find a way to cheer up, your stress level is only going to get worse and will make the wait feel even longer. Hang in there you guys! I saw a few approvals from VSC earlier this week so maybe things are starting to move. (F)

I re-read the question and I think I know the answer. I do not need to submit the last 3 years to NVC, I just need to have files them? Correct?

And with 2008 being so low, does that matter?

I believe for 2008 you need to submit your tax forms and W-2's. I think transcript option is only for the previous three years if you are submitting those. Also the employer letter and paystubs.

We are only required to submit the last income tax return we filed, which in your case is the 2008. But if you think that the last two returns will help your case, you can also submit the transcripts/returns for 2007 and 2006.
