Hi everyone! This is going to sound like a strange question, but I'm wondering if anyone else who has mailed anything to the NVC has done this and knows the answer. I sent the AOS package on Friday the 17th. Admittedly, I was not thinking properly at the time and sent it for next day delivery. Obviously they're not open on Saturday, so that was stupid. Anyway, I checked the USPS website to see if it was delivered today, and it says it's at the post office waiting for someone to pick it up and that the NVC was notified. #######? Wouldn't they just deliver it in Monday's mail?

I called the post office and they said I needed to check with the NVC about their mail policies. They said each individual business is responsible for telling the post office how they would like to receive Saturday mail when they're not open on Saturdays. One would think all businesses would simply have the mail delivered on Monday right? I know we do. I spoke with the NVC and for the first time, I got a seriously unhelpful operator who said she did not know anything about their mail delivery and refused to send me to a supervisor. Thanks for nothing.

Has anyone sent anything that would normally have been delivered on a Saturday and was it delivered on Monday okay?

Which service did you use when you mailed it express. If you used USPS, then, they should be able to deliver it to NVC. But, if you used any other courier service, then, you will need to talk to them. Good luck!!!!!

Hey SomberCat,

I also mailed my documents on 17th via FedEx and the Overnight charges were higher and then I thought its Saturday next day so wouldn't make sense.. So I made it to deliver on Monday... which it did.. It was delivered this morning around 9:30.. but I guess USPS should redeliver it today..

Rehan, I just used USPS because I can still get it there in one day and it's a lot cheaper than FedEx or UPS.

DesiDon, since you realized the next day was Saturday, you are definitely smarter than me. I guess I'll just check the USPS site tomorrow and see if the delivery status changes and check NVC later in the week and see if the AOS info gets put into their system.

Do I have to include last six months of Paystubs with my I-864 Package?? Does it say that on the instructions??? I have everything else, but it's hard to collect all these paystubs?? I will have last six or eights ready. Any suggestions!!

The ideal is 6 months (per the instruction and if you think it will help your case). But some people here in VJ have sen it just their 2009 pay stubs and didn't have problems with it.

I sent my paystubs from October 2008 to March 2009 plus a employment verification letter.

Did you send it via USPS Express Mail? I'm almost positive that you can call USPS and request to redeliver the package to NVC.

Yep, it was Express Mail. I asked about redelivering and that's when USPS told me I should check with the NVC first and see if it would be delivered automatically in their mail today. Funny how the USPS wouldn't know that. lol The more the I think about it, the more I think I'll call USPS back and tell them it's not being delivered in their Monday mail and please issue a redelivery order.

You should definitely call USPS again and hopefully you'll get a nicer CSR. Express Mail is a one-day service guarantee, and it doesn't make sense for them not to redeliver it.

Oh brother. Ignore my drama. I just spoke with USPS again and the package was delivered 9 minutes ago. Now why couldn't the first person tell me it was going to be delivered? Whatever. As long as it's there, I don't care. Note to self - don't send a package overnight to NVC with USPS on a Friday. What a dummy.

I was reading somehere in the forum that the same thing happend with another member. You know something, USCIS is really funny. I actually got two NOA2s at the same day and I know if I call USCIS, they won't have any answer as online system still says my case is pending. Anyway, you got it the NVC case number, Congratulations!!! I would not suggest to call USCIS because even if you speak with IO, he/she will tell you that they mailed an NOA2. But it's up to you!! Best of luck to you!!!!

OK people who are doing this now...

I'm trying to get things ready and request my tax transcripts now. Optimism...

I know the 2008s aren't available.

So, for 2006 and 2007 WHICH transcript did you use? The 4506-T has two options.

Return Transcript, which includes most of the line items of a tax return as filed with the IRS. Transcripts are only available for

the following returns: Form 1040 series, Form 1065, Form 1120, Form 1120A, Form 1120H, Form 1120L, and Form 1120S.

Return transcripts are available for the current year and returns processed during the prior 3 processing years. Most requests

will be processed within 10 business days

Account Transcript, which contains information on the financial status of the account, such as payments made on the account, penalty

assessments, and adjustments made by you or the IRS after the return was filed. Return information is limited to items such as tax liability

and estimated tax payments. Account transcripts are available for most returns. Most requests will be processed within 30 calendar days

Obviously time is not the issue...I just want to get this right the first time.

Thanks!

hey carlish... the AVR for us is still just the message about the IV Bill that was generated on April 14. there was never a message about needing biographic information... so i would suggest calling them to see what they need.

still no news for us about the expedite. we contacted our senator on friday, so hopefully he can push nvc along with reviewing the request. we would try just about anything at this point!

I will make sure to call NVC later this afternoon about my case status.

Keep trying to get your case expedite. If there's a will, there's a way!

I spoke to the operator. Though they received the AOS package in the mail last week, they haven't entered it yet in the system. Thus, the AVR is waiting for it. It will be updated once the system receives it.
