other than delivery confirmation from USPS, is there anywhere I can look to see that USCIS has received the package?

Unless you sent a check rather than a money order like myself, no. The only way to know whether they received it is to check with the usps site untill it says "Delivered". I guess you and I both will just have to wait till the USCIS themselves decides to let us know whats going on...

...though, I have thought about calling them and asking? Well....it has only been a day since usps says they received mine so I think I'll wait till at least tomorrow afternoon to give them some time.

I also sent in a Money Order. You can check to see if they cashed it. Their should be an 800 # on the back of the money order that you can call and enter the # on the front of it and it will tell you if it has been cashed. I sent in my I-130 last Monday, they received it on Tuesday and they still have not cashed in the money order! I starting to get a little worried....

Seriously??? Darn!!! I can't believe I can't find my receipt!!!! I called the post office I got it made from and theya re telling me that there is NO NUMBER you can call to find that out, that method is outdated for several years the guy said. He even went and asked the other clerks at the post office. Any chance you could give me the 1800 number....I've got the money order numebr on my sales receipt so I could probably figure it out if I jsut had that 1800 number you used?

Oh... I bought my money order from money gram and it has an 800 number on the back that I can just call and find out the status. I didn't buy the money order at the post office for that very reason that you can't check the status. You would have to go to the post office and pay a small fee and they'll look it up for you.

when USPS says that it has been delivered then im sure they have recieved it. mine was recieved feb 7, 2009 that was a started but my NAO1 said they received it Feb 9 so maybe they were just opening it the monday after and my NAO1 date is feb 12 but my check was cleared feb 13. u guys just have to be patient. i know how u fee i was so nervous that it wouldnt get there but good thing i used USPS!

no touch for today...i dont know what that means but i cant expect a touch everyday right? besides its the end of week already...

Hi everyone,

Looking to join the Lucky February Filers group here! We got married on New Years Eve in London and hubby sent I 130 package last friday. Received and signed for on Tuesday 17th February. The journey begins.

All we need now is bucket loads of patience from what I can see from this website, especially as we had to file with Vermont Service Centre Here's hoping Vermont get their act together in 2009.

Ok our fee bills are paid and we had the AVR message for that. Next we mailed the DS-230 and I-864. and NVC received them. Now the AVR has a message that just says an instruction package will be mailed to you in the next 2 weeks. What is this? Is it a case complete and the instructions is the interview letter? Or is it a message referring to the generation of the DS-230? I am confused since the package has been received already. Anyone have an idea what it might be?

You have to wait until you get your NOA1, then you can register for updates on the USCIS website.

Time for me to join this thread too! My husband and I mailed off the I-130 yesterday, right before he dropped me off at the airport to go home. Being home is lame...

To eklondon- I believe you can register here with your application receipt number when you get it. Now, I could be wrong on this, but I believe I read that the receipt number will be written on the back of your cheque once it's cashed, so if you can view your cheque through online banking, you should be able to get it that way. Otherwise, the USCIS site says you can call their customer service line (which from what I've read here, that line is pretty useless) at 1-800-375-5283 if you haven't received a receipt in the mail after 30 days.

My money order was finally cashed yesterday!! What a relief I was starting to think they had lost it!! Well now the wait begins for the NOA1!
