Congrats, WhidbeyGirl! Finally a case number! :)

Yes, the next step is to call to speak to a representative. When I called, they automatically asked me for our e-mail addresses. I didn't even say anything about it. So, I think they are trained to ask for them when you call for the first time after the case number is assigned.

Welcome to the NVC journey! Fun times...

I think we will have a bit of a stall when it comes to the IV packet because husband leaves on Sunday for Nigeria to get his police certificate. Then it will be about a week wait, then 2 more weeks to get it here.

Congrats Whidbeygirl! Glad you're on the NVC bus. :star:

My AOS fee showed paid at 11:14 this morning. What perfect timing as lunch starts at 11:30, so I printed out my cover sheet, put it in the package, sealed it up and ran down to the post office. What a great day. :D The sun is shining, it's going to be 70 and life is good... other than not having my husband here of course. :innocent: Oh #######, I have to mow tonight too. That sucks.

So now I call and give the operator my email, is that right? I'm lost somehow in the shortcut.

Congrats!! Now the real fun begins! :star:

BTW, I'm thinking of stalling my IV package. I will probably send it overnight either on Tuesday or Wednesday. As I was reviewing our documents, I noticed that one of the PCCs is about to expired in few days (there was only 3-months of validity). So hubby has renewed it, and he will send another one to me on Monday.

I was contemplating on sending it just the way it is (tomorrow), but I don't want to risk of delaying the process because of it. Delaying in sending it a couple of days is fine, I guess. I'd rather have everything perfect. Besides, the AOS package hasn't even been entered into the NVC system yet. Hoping it will make it on the system this weekend or early next week. By that time, NVC will also have my IV package.

Congrats, kevinbui on finally getting your case number! now the fun part begins...

Driade, your husband doesn't NEED the tax transcripts. he can also just send a photocopy of his returns along with the corresponding W2's, 1099's, and Schedules. It is definitely less work to use the the transcripts, but if you don't feel like waiting the extra two weeks... it might be worth it to gather all that together instead of contacting the IRS. The choice is yours.

Sombercat, I thought that the shortcut was a bit misleading as well. I think the only major thing you have to do to fly through NVC is get all the supporting documents and evidence in order while you are waiting for your case number. But, we aren't finished yet... so who knows.

As for the DS3032, we decided just to send a copy in the mail. They recieved it on April 10th and accepted it on April 14. That is two business days, so in our case, I don't think e-mailing it would have been any faster.

Carlish, NVC should have gotten our AOS package this morning. I called to speak to a representative earlier tonight, and she said that it may be in the building... but hasn't been scanned in yet. I got delivery confirmation from FedEx... so I know it is there somewhere!

I also sent the IV (DS230) package tonight with Priority Overnight... so they should get it by 10:30 tomorrow morning. I guess now all we can do is wait. :clock:

Still no news with the expedite... it obviously wouldn't help much now at NVC, but it could still get us an earlier interview date in Italy. We are trying to stay optimistic! :star:

Chrissy e Ben - just curious, can you get an interview date in Italy pretty fast? I was just thinking about your pregnancy and looking at the calendar and wondering if you have a shot at making it. I know Canada (Montreal) is backed up and it takes 2-3 months, but is it safe to assume Italy is much faster?

I'm rooting for you Chrissy to get you case completed first among our team. Hoping you'll get the magic word of "CASE COMPLETE" by late next week, and NVC can schedule the interview soon.

As for my own case, I'm hoping to get it completed before I leave to visit my husband in the Philippines in third week of May. Maybe we'd get a late June or early July interview.

Well in DS-3032 there will be already printed name at the top of the form which she wont have to write her name on that document..

and where the question comes for using the name.. you should have used the name that is on the passport that she will be using for the Visa..

I hope this helps!!

I'm not 100% sure, but I think you should use your wife's married name especially if you have already amended her name in the passport.

BTW, to those who are sending their AOS and IV packages, don't forget to write down your NVC case number and beneficiary's name (or print them on labels) on every single document you submit to NVC. I put printed labels on my documents.

Have a great weekend guys!!

She is going to apply for the passport this week. What happend was that we used her maiden name in our i-130 forms and now she wants to change her last name with my first name and that is going to be her married name. I hope now you get what I am asking here!!! Thank you
