taj'samericanwife, come on, don't lose hope. Your turn will come. Just hang in there, you can still catch up.

paris heart suggested i call them...and i sure will first thing tomorrow!

You can also call NVC and ask if they have received your case. You may have been approved already but you don't even know it.

Vareska I forced my husband to call 3 times day and ask for our case number for kinda 3 days; it was like mon to wed and after it my case number was updated on friday. So maybe u should call and ask, u odntl ose anything if they say no or i dont know or wait

Hey guys. I just want to whine a little. LOL. I swear, can life get any more stressful? Tonight I was trying to print the affidavit of support from the website and it wasn't working. Then, I am trying to to refinance my house and I got approved. The bad news is they want my husband to sign the papers. I told them, he is 6500 miles away and how's he gonna do that??? I feel like nothing in life can ever go smoothly. NOTHING. Thanks for letting me vent

Thank you for the kind advice. Like I said earlier, husband and I are sort of praying we don't get it just yet. It's just my obsessive nature that's making me call and check on NVC status. We're not in a good place right now, could be the stress or I don't know, all I know is it's not good...

This quote has been breaking my heart today:

"The most beautiful discovery married people can make is that they can grow separately without growing apart."

As long as you two are strong for one another, everything will fall into place, you'll see...

NVC finally emailed the IV Fee Agent Letter few minutes ago, and I immediately paid the bill. Hopefully, I can print the cover sheet soon so I can send the DS-230 package either tomorrow or on Saturday. :star:

I got the same email less than two hours ago! Haven't paid it just yet though.

I finally managed to go in for the police certificate today, but it won't be ready til tomorrow. That was an ordeal. I called them last Thursday to see what identification I need to bring and what the cost is, and said I'd be right over. I got there 20 minutes later and was told that 'the guy who does those is gone for the day'. They're supposed to be open until 6pm, and I was there at 3:30! I was not impressed. Then, of course, they were closed for the long weekend until Tuesday. So I went back yesterday at 4:30... same thing 'the guy is gone'. Anyway, so I went back this afternoon and 'the guy' was actually there. Yay. Now I just need 'the guy' to promptly call me when the results are available.

lol I love the way every Canadian story about getting a police certificate is different. I assume other countries are the same way too. My husband got his in March and he was in and out in less than 15 minutes... $30 lighter though. We laugh about it because the certificate has an old speeding ticket on it. We never thought about silly things like that being on there. I digress. Glad you finally got to see "the guy". I like that term. It sounds like he's with the mafia or something.

BTW, I'm curious. I see that both you and Carlish paid your AOS fee online and it showed paid the following day. Mine hasn't yet and I was hoping to send my AOS package tomorrow. Do you know if one day is the norm or is it usually longer?

Mine took just a day, but I think the norm is at least 2 days. Just wait till tomorrow, I'm sure you'll be able to print the cover sheet by then.

hey Sombercat, i think it took just a day for both of our fee bills to clear... so you should be good to print the cover sheet tomorrow. if not, i would call and talk to a representative just to make sure everything is okay.

don't give up hope while you are waiting for your noa2! take the time to get ready for nvc... try to stay optimistic :star: i know it is hard, but it will all be worth it when you are reunited.

and we all know how it feels to be away from our loved ones. i never pictured going through my first pregnancy on a different continent than my husband, but this is our situation and we are going to make the best of it. we know we will be together soon, and that makes us a lot more fortunate than many other people. some people never find love in their lifetimes, so we should all consider ourselves very lucky, even if we can't be together right now.

don't lose hope! (L) if you do, you will never get through this process.
