13 days after NOA2 still no NVC case# ... Since I screwed up with the taxes and the husband still has not gotten the police certificate to me, it actually makes us feel better that there isn't a case# assigned yet

actually it took 24 days for my case to get NVC# assigned.. so you should be expecting it anytime next week start of the week most probably... Good luck with the PCC n Taxes

all of you are talking about NVC this and that while i have not even gotten my NAO2 yet or not even a touch. whats going on? whats wrong? im sick of this, getting more and more hopeless about this.

OOPS meant NVC, sorry eklondon didn't mean to get your hopes up. I'm gonna blame it on the cleanse that I am doing. Supposedly the fog is going to clear in my brain, but it seems to be getting denser!

You can also call NVC and ask if they have received your case. You may have been approved already but you don't even know it.

hey guys, are you waiting for your ds-3032 and I-864 bill hard copy to arrive in mail to take action or do they provide that to you via email? am i suppose to wait for my I-864 bill hard copy so i can pay the bill or is NVC going to send me an email with all the info so i can pay online. They will provide it to you via email. Myself and a few others received our emails yesterday. I paid my bill online last night, sent a DS-3032 email last night and sent the DS-3032 hard copy today as a back up to the email. So just sit tight and you'll get the email. It took five days to get mine (only three business days) after I got my case number.

I got the same email less than two hours ago! Haven't paid it just yet though.

I finally managed to go in for the police certificate today, but it won't be ready til tomorrow. That was an ordeal. I called them last Thursday to see what identification I need to bring and what the cost is, and said I'd be right over. I got there 20 minutes later and was told that 'the guy who does those is gone for the day'. They're supposed to be open until 6pm, and I was there at 3:30! I was not impressed. Then, of course, they were closed for the long weekend until Tuesday. So I went back yesterday at 4:30... same thing 'the guy is gone'. Anyway, so I went back this afternoon and 'the guy' was actually there. Yay. Now I just need 'the guy' to promptly call me when the results are available.

lol I love the way every Canadian story about getting a police certificate is different. I assume other countries are the same way too. My husband got his in March and he was in and out in less than 15 minutes... $30 lighter though. We laugh about it because the certificate has an old speeding ticket on it. We never thought about silly things like that being on there. I digress. Glad you finally got to see "the guy". I like that term. It sounds like he's with the mafia or something.

BTW, I'm curious. I see that both you and Carlish paid your AOS fee online and it showed paid the following day. Mine hasn't yet and I was hoping to send my AOS package tomorrow. Do you know if one day is the norm or is it usually longer?

I think my AOS bill took 2 days to show up as paid... rather 1 1/2 days. Heh. If I had to guess, I'd say yours might show up as paid tomorrow morning.

About the police certificate... heheh I referred to him as 'the guy' because that's what the receptionist kept calling him... I never did find out his name, though. I'm hoping I don't get any unpleasant surprises with the results! It would suck to find out that I'm a wanted criminal or something.

On another note, I'm pretty excited that almost all of my work is done here, and I'm already preparing for the medical. I went to the doctor today for a tetanus booster and a second MMR shot. My arm hurts! I think all that's left for me is to get the friggin Gardasil vaccine. I am not pleased about that. The full vaccination takes 6 months, and I'll be 27 in 5 months. And it's not a requirement after I turn 27. So yeah. I have to pay around $200 for the first shot of a vaccine that I won't even be required to get before I can be fully vaccinated. It doesn't make sense to me. I suppose my only alternative is to delay sending the DS-230 back for a few months so I'll have my interview after I turn 27 in September, but I don't want to do that. I guess I'll just have to suck it up! I'm hoping to move before my birthday, so I can attend the State Fair in Tulsa and see a variety of fried foods on sticks! Well, that's not really why, but I am looking forward to it!
