Do U have to mail ur DS3032 also, tough only was email it, Sombercat or u talkng about ur AOS package, cuz am freak out, i never read about mail ur agent selection too.

By the wat GRATZ to Desison and Sombercat, ya seems like we are going together mine will take a bit more till my hubby can get the tax stuffs.

First, congrats kevinbui86!! That was a long wait brother!

Driade, you don't have to mail in the DS-3032 also. I've just seen stories here and there about people who've emailed them and they haven't been received for some reason, so I've decided to email it and mail the hard copy also. I figure it's better to be safe than sorry.

thanks sombercat, guys make sure when you send the ds-3032 and i-864, send it with your own envelope and use the address on the instruction package. dont use the envelope that is supplied with package. that address will delay your case

It looks like Driade, DesiDon and myself are on the same schedule. I got my DS-3032/AOS fee email tonight also and just got done taking care of both. I'm going to mail the hard copy of the DS-3032 to them tomorrow also. BTW, thanks again Holliday for answering my question and saving my a$$. It's great to have Holliday and Carlish a week ahead of us. If I get lost, I just follow what you guys are doing, so don't screw up! Just kidding of course. :star:

I do have to throw an extra comment in regarding the IIN. Much like the discussion earlier, I was also confused by this (until Holliday straightened me out), but I believe it's because of the way I read the shortcut. In the shortcut, it stresses over and over that you have to get your IIN as soon as possible and you're screwed without it. It refers to pestering operators over and over until you can get it and in reality, you don't really need to do that. Since it shows up in the first AOS fee email and the AOS fee is the first thing you can pay, there's no point to even calling NVC to ask for it. Make sense? Is it just me or is the shortcut a shade misleading? I know, it's probably just me.

Trust me, I'm trying so hard not to screw up as I'm scheduled to visit my husband in the Philippines next month. I'm hoping to get out of NVC and get an interview date before I leave. It helps a lot that Chrissy is a bit ahead of me so I can follow her lead.

Anyway, this is so exciting that a lot of us are sailing through the NVC journey together. I hope things go smoothly for everyone. :star:

I did the same thing. I emailed the DS-3032 but after not hearing anything from NVC after 1 week, I decided too mail it too. The choice of address/agent was just accepted today.

BTW, I just spoke to an NVC operator few minutes ago to inquire about my I-864 package. This very nice lady said that my package is not in the system yet, but it's probably still in the sorting mail room. She asked me to call back on Friday.

Congrats, kevinbui on finally getting your case number! now the fun part begins...

Driade, your husband doesn't NEED the tax transcripts. he can also just send a photocopy of his returns along with the corresponding W2's, 1099's, and Schedules. It is definitely less work to use the the transcripts, but if you don't feel like waiting the extra two weeks... it might be worth it to gather all that together instead of contacting the IRS. The choice is yours.

Sombercat, I thought that the shortcut was a bit misleading as well. I think the only major thing you have to do to fly through NVC is get all the supporting documents and evidence in order while you are waiting for your case number. But, we aren't finished yet... so who knows.

As for the DS3032, we decided just to send a copy in the mail. They recieved it on April 10th and accepted it on April 14. That is two business days, so in our case, I don't think e-mailing it would have been any faster.

Carlish, NVC should have gotten our AOS package this morning. I called to speak to a representative earlier tonight, and she said that it may be in the building... but hasn't been scanned in yet. I got delivery confirmation from FedEx... so I know it is there somewhere!

I also sent the IV (DS230) package tonight with Priority Overnight... so they should get it by 10:30 tomorrow morning. I guess now all we can do is wait. :clock:

Still no news with the expedite... it obviously wouldn't help much now at NVC, but it could still get us an earlier interview date in Italy. We are trying to stay optimistic! :star:

I think the guides/shortcuts were designed for use before NVC started sending out the necessary forms and instructions via email. I can see how getting the IIN over the phone would help if you're waiting for NVC to snail mail the instructions to you, because it will save you a couple of days waiting for the mail and then waiting for the bill to show up as "paid" so you can send things back with the cover sheet. However, now that NVC is sending out the AOS/DS-3032 instructions (and the IIN) via email within a couple of days of assigning the case number, it doesn't actually save any time getting the IIN over the phone. At least that's what makes sense to me.

Chrissy, you are really flying through NVC. Good for you! Hope your case gets completed right away especially with your baby on the way.

I'm planning to mail our DS-230 either on Friday or Saturday. It depends really how soon NVC emails me the IV Fee Agent Letter. I've decided to wait for the bill to be generated instead of paying it right away (though it's already available to be paid).

I know exactly what you all mean about doing this together. I absolutely LOVE (L) this thread and I am constantly reading it.

Carlish and Holliday are always right around where I am... so it is nice to make sure that we are all sort of doing the same thing.

Who needs a lawyer when you have VJ?? :)

I know that waiting for the "CASE COMPLETE" is going to be torture... but it is definitely a relief to know that I don't have to worry about putting anything else in the mail or waiting for any more bills to pay (as long as there are no RFE's!! please please please no RFE's...).

The representative last night said that the expedite request is still being reviewed by a supervisor... I know that we don't have very much time left, but there is still some hope. Or, at least that is what we are telling ourselves ;)
