Yes they are claimed on my taxes - but won't be next year as they both will be graduated. I did just find this: http://apps.leg.wa.gov/RCW/default.aspx?cite=26.28.010 which says age of majority is 18 in this state so I shouldn't have to count one of them. I guess we'll see, I'll submit it without the one and then I'll be $520 over the minimum - talk about close!

I'm so sorry I didn't see your other thread going on the topic. I would definitely submit it without the one, but I am also thinking along the same lines as the person who posted in the other thread. If you can get any kind of supporting paperwork showing that they will be self-sufficient, I would definitely think that would go a long way.

Got my NOA2 today! Ya! I would be more enthusiastic, but also discovered today I don't qualify as a sponsor because I have to count 2 of my children who won't be living with me so I'm short on income. I have no assets, no savings, no credit to get a loan and no friends or family who will co-sponsor. So NOA2 is all for not :crying:

Congrats on your NOA2!!! I am praying that a solution comes your way WhidbeyGirl.....you've come too far now ......there must be a way....(F)

Good morning team!

Just an update, NVC finally generated the DS-3032 and AOS fee bill this morning (received them via email). I will pay the AOS fee bill and email the Choice of Address and Agent form on behalf of my husband this morning. :star:

Again, a reminder, to those who have gotten their case number already, remember to call an NVC operator to give your email addresses (yours and your beneficiary's).

Goodluck and have a great weekend!

Thanks for keeping us updated Carlish. I'm keeping an eye on your case (hope that doesn't sound too creepy! ) as you are just a shade over a week ahead of me. I hope to have an NVC number next week. Do let us know how long it takes to get your DS3032 accepted as I'm curious about that.

Wow, carlish... looks like they are really moving with your case! That is great news.

Here is an update from our case: I called the NVC last night and spoke with a representative. She said they still haven't received the case and to try calling back in a week... even though it was already been two and a half weeks. Soooooo, I don't know.

I am a little frustrated because I don't understand why people whose NOA2 was after ours is arriving at the NVC before ours (and they are from the CSC, too...). I mean, there isn't really a difference, so I don't understand why it isn't there yet.

I am also trying to apply for an expedite... but I can't yet because they don't even have a record of our case (so technically there is nothing for them to expedite).

I really really REALLY hope we get some good news on Monday.

whidbey, the important thing on the I-864 is how much you make the current year (this year 2009), the previous years of tax income is only used as supporting evidence. as long as you can get an employment letter stating that you make enough of the poverty guideline this year then you should be good to go
