Thanks! But don't worry, I'm sure you'll get your NOA1 soon too.

I know exactly how you feel. I'm missing my husband too. :(

BTW, I noticed that my middle name is not spelled out in the NOA1, and my husband's middle name is missing. Should I call the USCIS to have them add his middle name? In all the application forms that I submitted, I included his full name, including middle name.

Received our NOA1 today!!!

I kept trying to sing up for online case status by using the receipt number printed in the back of my check, and I was getting an error message.

Well, now that I have the NOA in hand, I see that the receipt number on NOA1 is different from the one on the check; on the check it ends in 69, but on NOA1 it ends in 70.

I think I read on this forum somewhere that this is typical...

Good luck guys, hope you receive your NOA1 quickly as well!

Does your NOA1 included your beneficiary's middle name? My husband's middle name missing in the receipt has been bugging me. :(

I think we have been "touched" for the first time after NOA1 has been issued. I think ...

On the notice, it says they received my petition on 2/4/09.

Receipt date is 2/9/09.

The mailing envelope stamp says it was mailed to me on 2/9/09, so 2/13 date that I see online as the "last updated" date can only mean a touch, right?

I guess I should not get too excited about this, since it is normal to have lots of touches:) early in the process, I figured now they are filing everything properly and stuff like that, so this date of 2/13 does not necessarily mean that someone is looking at my case with a critical, decision making eye:)

Mine says that they received the petition on 02/08/09 and the receipt date is 02/11/09. The envelope was stamped on 02/11/09. The status online also says that it was last updated on 02/13/09. So my guess is as good as yours. Hope that it was actually "touched." :)

Hi guys....add me in too.^_^

I just sent in my packet and money order today by express mail.....the lady at the post office said they should have it by noon tomorrow....let's see.

I used this address:

USCIS Lockbox

Attn: SAI-I-130

131 South Dearborn - 3rd Flr

Chicago, IL 60603-5517

and made the money order out to:

U.S Department of Homeland Security

I used the address above because I used express delivery...and I read in the instructions that this address should be used for carrier or express delivery.

I have a tracking number and I checked online but it says my info isn't available from this website.......I'm going to check again after 5:00pm (it's 2:35 right now) that's when the mail gets picked up for delivery I believe. They should have the status by then. I guess I won't have to worry about the check cashing thing.....although it would be a lot nicer to have a half-way milestone like that though...would keep me much less anxious.

Hopefully I can get my NOA1 before I leave for Pakistan on March 07 (only 18 days)....most-likely not, but doesn't hurt to hope. Otherwise I'll have to get my mother to forward it to me.

I'm so excited right now....

oh and Betsy El Sum,

DCF means Direct Consular Filing....which basically means filing through the consulate in whichever country you are currently staying and are a permanent resident of. This is only for those who are permanent residents of beneficiaries country...or are living with the beneficiary in their country.
