It is comforting to know that we are not the only ones from the CSC waiting for a case number from the NVC.

Did your profile on the USCIS website get updated? Ours still says that our cases has been received and is pending... but we got the hard copy of the NOA2 in the mail last weekend. It doesn't make any sense...

It seems like the CSC is approving I-130's very quickly but taking longer to send the cases to the NVC. VSC, on the other hand, seems to be taking longer in issuing NOA2's, but when they do, the petitioners receive a case number from the NVC in a matter of days. I am not sure which is better.

Not true. Lot of people lately have had to wait 10 to 15 days from approval date to get NVC Case #. So I think CSC is still better. Good luck :-)

I'm just so anxious and ready to move on to NVC. Have you started gathering all your documents yet? I have mine almost ready. I'm just waiting for my husband's police reports. I guess since NVC is so slow in assigning case numbers, I'll have plenty of time to review and double check the documents before the NVC package actually arrives.

Goodluck to you too. I'm also hoping that the rest of the Feb filers get their NOA2 so we can do the NVC journey together.

Wow! Wow!!! WOW!!! That's about all I can think right now. Look at all of you getting NOA2s! A BIG congrats to everyone and for those of us still waiting in CSC, it looks like they're clearing their desks quickly so hang in there. It shouldn't be too much longer.

I know exactly how you are feeling! Yeah, we have started to gather all of the documents together... I am just waiting for my husband to send them back to me. I think he is pretty much done with everything. Fortunately, you can get the police report in Italy in just a matter of minutes.

Do you know if everything has to be translated into English? Some people say yes, and others say that the documents can also be in the language where the interview will take place. So for us, that could be English or Italian. But, I am not sure.

I am getting really antsy, too. By the way things have been going, I am pretty confident that we will have all the documents together by the time we get our case number from NVC.

I'm going to call the NVC again later tonight and hopefully the operator will have our case number available already.

I personally had a foreign language instructor translate all my husband's documents. I believe the only requirement is that it is translated and a statement confirming the person who translated it is competent. The reason I hired someone else instead of having my husband or I translate it (which we both are competent to do it) is because having a third party do it appears more unbiased, they don't have a vested interest in your application.

I wouldn't normally care that the case status isn't updated on the USCIS website, but we still haven't gotten an NVC case number... so I can't help but think they are related.

Maybe when the case status is updated it means that the CSC sent it to the NVC? I don't know... I am just trying to make some sense out of all of the confusion.

My husband received the NOA2 in the mail today!!!!! I had a weird feeling last night that it was going to arrive today. That's so odd, but awesome! Wow!! The notice is dated March 19. I am so ecstatic and surprised!

For the record, my case is still not online with USCIS.

I'm going to visit my husband tomorrow, and my brain is all over the place trying to think of what I should bring with me so we can get all the NVC stuff ready to go while I'm there. I'm hoping I can figure out a way to get my police check dealy tomorrow morning. I have some research to do! This is just incredible!
