Hi Lucky Feb Filers,

I just can't believe it!!! We've received our NOA2 already!!!!

Hubby has just called to say it arrived in the post today, and is dated 13th March 2009. Approval exactly one month after posting. This has to be a record time.

Spooky as both posting and approval dates were on Friday 13th (Feb and Mar). Who said that was unlucky????? I don't think so!

Best wishes to all of you with the process, I'm sure you will receive yours too shortly. It looks like February was indeed a lucky month to file.

Congratulations to you too! So far we have 3 approvals from our team. Hope they keep coming for everyone here so we can do NVC together.

I'm now patiently waiting for NVC to assign and give us a case number and send the package to me and my husband. I have most of the documents ready except for my husband's police reports. He's taking care of that right now.

Thank you Taj'samericanwife. To be honest, I'm in shock. I haven't done too much research on the next part of the process, but think I'm ok for documentation, just got to get the police report underway which takes 10 days here in the UK. I'll get going on that on Monday. Hopefully I'll have it back by the time the case file arrives at NVC.

All husbands tax documentation is in order together with letter from employer etc., so just got to find some dollars to pay for the next steps.

Well, at least I keep myself entertained while waiting for NOA2. I forgot to ask my husband to sign and mail me W7 form to file 2008 taxes. I just finished my return and I was so dumb to think that I'd be the one to sign W7

So, as usual my poor husband will have to do things the rushed way, as he needs to get this done yesterday in order for me to receive it in time to submit before April tax deadline. Oh, I keep doing stupid thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiings, but like I said at least I'll have this to worry about now instead of stressing when our NOA2 will arrive

By the way, what did you all write in on the following:

1. On 1040 form, when it asks for his SS#, I wrote in ITIN needed. Is this ok, you think?

2. Also on 1040, it asks for his phone# but the number is not in US form so it's too long, it won't fit. Did you all just leave it blank or what?

3. On W7, as reason to obtain ITIN, do we choose "Nonresident alien filing a U.S. tax return" or "Spouse of U.S. citizen/resident alien"?

I am thinking we should check both. What did you all select?

4. As his mailing address, can I put my address to receive mail even though he is not currently on that address (never lived there)? Or should I not risk it and just put his foreign address?

5. Husband was never here on a student or work visa, so I am thinking under 6f and 6g questions, I should just write in not applicable?

I know, I know, this is a lot of questions, but I just need that feeling of assurance, you know how it is...

There are 11 ppl so far (9-CSC; 1-VSC; 1-unknown CS) that have been approved for NOA 2 in Feb and Mar so far who got NOA1 in Feb... Does it mean good news for the rest of us? I have info only about 29 ppl who sent I-130 in Feb and 9 of them already have NOA2 from CSC... Not a bad # at all. It's 1/3 of the group

I also found a gift in the mailbox when I got home tonight! Our NOA2 is finally here. Our petition is APPROVED!! :dance:

The NOA2 is dated March 16, 2009--33 days from NOA1 date!

I guess I need to start gathering my NVC documents. When do I expect to hear from NVC? Will they contact me and my husband?

Anyway, goodluck everyone. Be patient, your NOA2 will come soon... have faith and believe it.

BTW, my case status at USCIS Website still says "case received and pending." I guess they don't update their Website as often as we'd like to.

HELLO ALL from Africa. I just got here on Friday morning, am having a wonderful time. I will update everyones info on the spreadsheet when I get back on the 22nd. I have been reading about all the really fast approvals - LESS THAN 40 DAYS - WOW!!!!!! I pray we all can get approvals that fast!!!

carlish - I bought my laptop a Dell D610 from ebay. It is a refurbished one and it is EXCELLENT, it only cost me $300. The battery doesn't last long but it's ok the charger is great. I will get onto my ebay account and give you the ame of the seller, he refurbishes and resells lots of computer, he is a great seller, honest and helpful.
