hi feb filers...more and more january filers are being approved, some with K-3 too and most of them from VSC...i wonder who will be approved first from the feb filers. well the weekend is here again and new hope comes again as another week starts...i hope things are getting into place for all of us...

carlish, thank you for the advice. also the laptop does not come with microsoft word...i have to purchase it separately. one of my mom's friends will be coming from the philippines to the united states and i was wondering if they could send me their pirated microsoft word cds? do you think it would work on my new laptop...would anyone find out about this...? this is what some people did in the philippines after buying laptops from the us...when the 30 days trial expired, they just bought pirated microsoft word or antivirus but i think it would be worth it to actually buy the antivirus because i dont want to lose my files again...and i an never going to download unecessary things again! hahahaha...whatd u think carlish?

The pirated MS Office may or may not work on your new laptop. Someone here correct me if I'm wrong, but I think after installing the software, it's supposed to check if your copy is genuine or not. It's one of the security features that Microsoft has recently incorporated to prevent/avoid piracy.

As for the Antivirus, it's really up to you if you want to purchase one. The ones that estrella and I recommended should be as good or better than McAfee or Norton (these two tend to slow down computers as they hog lots of system resources).

Just my opinion (and I realize you didn't ask for it) but I certainly wouldn't ask or encourage someone to bring me something illegal from another country. That seems like a silly risk to take, just to save a few hundred dollars. Again, that's just my opinion...

and oh yeah are you saying i dont have to spend extra to get microsoft works and an antivirus? if i download if from your sources my computer might be flooded with pop ups and other stuff...

i've say get the Dell, compaq sucks. it would be fine the first couple of months then eventually break down in my experience. however, my friend who is a geeksquad at best buy. he told me to get HP. they are the best and very durable. could take a beating. he told me Dell and Gateway is the worst of them all, customers are always bring them in to get repairs.

HELLO ALL from Africa. I just got here on Friday morning, am having a wonderful time. I will update everyones info on the spreadsheet when I get back on the 22nd. I have been reading about all the really fast approvals - LESS THAN 40 DAYS - WOW!!!!!! I pray we all can get approvals that fast!!!

carlish - I bought my laptop a Dell D610 from ebay. It is a refurbished one and it is EXCELLENT, it only cost me $300. The battery doesn't last long but it's ok the charger is great. I will get onto my ebay account and give you the ame of the seller, he refurbishes and resells lots of computer, he is a great seller, honest and helpful.

Hi guys.......I know it's been such a long time....lol. I haven't forgotten, nor neglected you guys....how could I? Honestly now? . I've been having soooo much fun so far here with my husband. I almost completely forgot how amazingly GREAT he is in every single way imaginable!!!! I'm so completely relieved being here with my hubs throughout this process as opposed to being in the states all alone and completely stressed out and totally nutsy bananas about every little thing. I mean....I'm so surprised at how lightly I'm taking the fact that it has been over 2 weeks since my last touch.....honestly...it doesnt even matter....seeing as I'll know it when it happens you know. IDK how to explain it really, but just being here with him has taken a heck of alot of the stress and worry off of everything. Thank god for that!

Anyhows.......anyone get an approval yet? Always up for some good news....yep, thats me.
