Oh dear....your case has been complete for over 2 months now.......it doesn't make any sense why they haven't scheduled an interview for you yet! Are you calling nvc daily to find out whether they've done so yet or what the hold-up is? I believe Montreal is a bit on the slow side w/ scheduling interviews because I recall that it took Somber quite some time to get an interview date also, I believe...

I'll pray for you to hopefully get some good news ASAP....no one should have to wait this long...it's so unjust of nvc that they do this to so many people!

I'm sure sympathy doesn't mean much to the fellow Canadians at this point, but I feel just awful for you guys. I did a little happy dance the other night when I saw Montreal finally scheduled some interviews, but then I saw you guys weren't on the list. Ugh. Hopefully you're on the December list because this is just ridiculous. I thought our wait was long (it wasn't but it just felt like it was), so I can't even imagine how you must feel. You can probably sympathize with everyone on AP because your wait just for an interview is longer than most AP. :(

When I look back at the dates, we were SO lucky. If we would have been approved only a week or two later, we would just be getting an interview probably right now. Instead, we were lucky and have been living the life for over a month. Hang in there guys. I know you don't want to hear that patience is a virtue, but there are surely good things ahead for you in life for having this kind of interview wait. (F)

Hey all, alive and kickin' here. I'm back at work while hubby attempts to entertain himself at home. One disadvantage to living on an island - not a whole lot to do here. He is chompin' at the bit to find a job! We can't even get a simple ID card until he has his SSN. Washington State requires 4 documents to issue an ID card we have 3 (passport, visa and marriage certificate), the 4th can be SSN, original BC, foreign drivers license or current school transcript - we have none of those things. So we wait......

As for POE - EASY EASY EASY!! Less than 20 minutes at JFK. Although getting out of Senegal was a HUGE process - sheesh!!! EVERY single guard at the airport asked for SO's passport, I could have walked right by them. The final check point was entirely frustrating the man kept questioning my husband and examining his visa, it wasn't until I came up next to my husband (I went through a different security point) and looked at the man in a very upset and questioning manner that he quit talking and just stamped husbands passport. You know I kind of expected a bit of discrimination from US side but NEVER thought we would get it in his residential country. Like I said, everyone at JFK was great and quick!!

SO had a 21 hour layover in NY, I only had a 6 hour layover. We walked the route he would need to take to get to the right terminal a couple of times before I left. He did fabulous, arrived in Seattle with no problem at all. I brought my daughter with me to pick him up and she JUMPED outta of the truck and ran and hugged him. Shocked me because she has never met him before and she tends to be a bit shy. 3 of my 4 boys and my daughter in law greeted him with big hugs also. The 4th....well.... he'll come around. He shook his hand and has offered to show him the bus system here on the island. My grandson is coming around too, he's just 3 years old.

We have toured a little bit of the island together - he was very confused as to why on earth people in the US would EVER want to buy a rat or mouse to have as a pet. He said if he had known he would have rounded up several and brought them here to sell

HAHA! Same thing Haseeb is always saying...he's always joking about taking cats and dogs off the streets to NY and selling them or giving them to good homes rather than having those poor animals starving on the streets with broken legs and whatnot.....we both are huge cat/dog lovers so it hurts us pretty bad having to see the conditions in which these beautiful and helpless animals have to live in here in Paki.....so many cruel people take these animals in as a hobby and then when they get to become a responsibility rather than a toy...they throw them out on the streets to be hit my cars and abused in all sorts of other ways...:(. Haseeb is always saying we should at least try to take a few with us..who knows the airport officials won't be too lenient about it.....I always say the same thing that...first, lets at least get ourselves through the airport....who knows how POE will be for us. Lets atleast get to the states once and then we can do something about those poor helpless animals in Pakistan...lol.

I hope POE in JFK is as easy for us too.....though I keep getting worried about the fact that Haseeb can barely speak/understand English properly yet...I hope that won't cause any problems...
