Gosh....it seems like everyone's so happy....well of course what with all the visa's in hands and ticket purchasing and whatnot. Which is a really good thing...plz don't get me wrong.....I'm just soooooo depressed with having missed any chance for a september interview....and then not being able to find out exactly when our interview is going to be untill 2 or more weeks from now(september 15 is when the nvc operator said to call and ask about interview scheduling)...in october nonetheless. It feels like we're at a full stop with any news or updates...and thats depressing for me..lol. Then the terrifying thought of AP keeps running through my head...again and again and again........although, I have noticed that most people are getting shorter AP's now with ISL embassy......about 1 month and 20 days upto 2 months is nearly the average. So I'm praying ofcourse that we don't get any AP whatsoever so I don't have to leave my husband because of the delivery......so I can just go back asap to the states WITH him AND the baby still in my belly....so he can be there with us when it's time. I really don't want to go back to the states without Haseeb at all.....and worse than that I really don't want to have the baby without him with me. Hopefully............if we do get AP (which is most likely....but please may god have mercy on us)I am praying it's really really short....like a few weeks to mostly up to november.....otherwise I won't have any choice but to leave Paki..........and my husband. Being apart is never anything I could ever look forward to, especially with our baby on it's way.

Should I call and ask the operators about the interview being scheduled before September 15 like they said......or should I wait until the date they gave me to call back and ask.

Please.....pray for me guys..... I'm just soooo depressed!

Mumtaz I know. I am in a similarly pathetic sinking ship. I can truthfully tell you that these 2 weeks since the interview and AP has been worse than the WHOLE rest of the process so far. It is just such a helpless feeling. All you can do is call the DOS and all you get is a canned answer that you are in AP (no sh*t) and it is routine and don't worry but btw we CAN'T tell you when this nightmare will end. I pray your case ends differently for the sake of you and the baby.

Mumtaz - you can call NVC everyday and check when they have an interview date for you. They usually say the second week of the month, however its scheduled sooner at times, you never know. If they have your email address on their records then surely they will send you an email as soon as an interview is set.

Another thing, once the interview is scheduled, you can always call the embassy and ask them if there is an earlier date available. Sometimes you can get lucky and get an earlier interview than the one initially scheduled.

Well that is initially what I plan to do, call the embassy and see if I can convince them to give us an earlier interview.....hopefully in September(inshallah)! Any chance you might have the number for isl embassy handy that I could call L179??

And thank you Betsy for the kind words of understanding. Although, I haven't yet been put on AP as I haven't even gotten an interview date yet.....but seeing as there is no avoiding it....might as well think of myself as under AP already....seeing as it is completely inevitable.

How's everybody doing?

I have enjoyed my first week of being unemployed. I've been a bit of a slacker though, and I need to work on that. I am doing everything possible to avoid packing. Heh. I suck so bad. I plan to move a week from Friday, so I really need to do a better job of going through my stuff and either packing it up or getting rid of it. I have too much random ####### lying around. It's a little overwhelming, because I don't even have space to sort through stuff. My husband is flying here on Friday (YAY!) and so he'll be able to help me out next week.

I just spent about 20 minutes going through some clothes, and I already have about 30 sweaters bagged up to donate... and my closet still looks full. How did this happen?! I don't even shop! Bah. It's gonna be a loooooong week.
