Yeeeaaa!!! I bet I've checked this darn VJ site 15 times today to see if you were approved. Since I'm at work, I'm sure I'll probably get fired tomorrow when the Internet police catch up with me. Just kiddin'. :P Seriously though, a HUGE congrats to you and I'm SO jealous they're letting you pick up the visa. Enjoy your time. (F)

Alright my beautiful people that are still awaiting interview, here is how it went for us:

I could not be present at the interview, they made me wait in the waiting room, but I could hear through the open door pretty much everything they asked.

After the necessary security checks, we checked in at the front desk with a lovely Bosnian lady. She sorted through our file and kept only the marriage certificate, birth certificate, police certificate, Kenan passport, the IV ap and handful of pictures, and passport photos of Kenan that we sent in with IV packet. She returned everything else to us.. We did have to obtain another document yesterday even though I did not see it anywhere in the requirements but they said we need to provide proof that Kenan did not serve in the national army (it used to be a requirement here until recently for all men of certain age unless they are in college) which we did. So that is all she took to give to consul.

Kenan was called to see the consul and the same lady translated for Kenan.

They asked if he would like the interview to be conducted in english or bosnian, and as instructed by me :) he opted for english and asked that if he should get nervous or stuck that she offers help with translation anyway, so she did.

They swore him in and then asked:

when and how did you two meet?

when did you first see each other?

did you exchange pictures before seeing each other in Bosnia?

were you "dating" right away when you met online in 2003?

when did you realize this was something more than just talking?

did you go pick up lejla from the airport when she came in 2005? why not?

did she come alone?

if you did not pick her up, then did you send a friend or someone to "check her out" (I laughed my #### of on this one) before you met?

did your families know each other before you were dating?

was she alone when you met for first time?

where does she work?

where did she go to school and what did she study?

does she still live in garland, tx?

does she live alone?

when did she come to bosnia this last time?

where are you staying right now?

how many times have you traveled to see each other?

have you met her family?

will you live with her family in garland?

(when Kenan said no, we will have our own apartment) where is the apartment?

how big is the apartment?

how much is the monthly rent?

where is lejla now? (the lady told him that i was in the waiting room outside biting my nails because she saw me couple times and told me not to bite my nails and that I have no reason to worry. the consul laughed at that)

were you married both in civil and religious ceremony?

were both families present at the wedding?

then they looked through our pictures and asked about couple of them where they were taken, who was in the pictures...

on our wedding photos, they asked some details like what are the flowers and the wheat on kenan`s suit about , so kenan explained my reasoning behind our wedding theme and colors, and the cake ... thank God all my nagging payed off so it seemed like Kenan was interested in the wedding planning :)))

then he looked at our wedding invitation which we created ourselves and it is pretty elaborate (it was done like a poster for a movie and movie is called something like Intercontinental style lovin` (twist on a name of a popular bosnian movie) , the lady loved it and she took it to the office to show all the other ladies that were sitting there :) the consul said it was cheesy and laughed his #### off :))

Then the consul wished him a safe trip, at which Kenan got confused and asked does that mean I get to walk out and give my wife good news? they smiled and said yes, you are approved! Pick up the visa next day after 4 pm!
