I was wondering where you went Tiggi? Long time no see....have you been contacting USCIS and asking about your case? You definitely should have gotten your NOA2 by now....that's ridiculous! Contact them ASAP and let us know....I'm curious to know what the hold up is.....really now...6 months almost. That's just plain unjust IMO.

Alright...I have another question for my lovely FFFF's......

My mom sent me her stuff for joint sponsoring incl. the i864a in secret....meaning she didn't tell my father because he is dead against her helping me bring my husband to the u.s and having a good life. So my father doesn't know she signed the i864a...so I was wondering........would the NVC need to contact my mother or call her on the number she put on the i864a...which is her home number which dad could pickup, if you're following me you know that wouldn't be very good at all. So can anyone tell me whether the joint sponsor/household member gets contacted by NVC at any point...and why and how????

My mom and I are really worried about this, because my dad is a very rash man and he would not be lenient if he found out! It would create alot of misery for my mom, and she's already had enough grief from her other kids, her husband and his entire god damned family....and I really can't stand having to see my mom in any more pain....

As far as the other things I have no idea. What I don't understand is that your dad would have had to sign the forms too, I believe. I think she could have got herself into a whole heep of problems. Committing your dad to 10 years of sponsorship without his permission could be a BIG problem.

Well, how I see it is that my mother is the joint sponsor...therefor only she would be required to sign the contract, my father just happens to file his taxes jointly with my mother. The tax information IMO isn't used as part of the contract, more as part of the evidence for fulfilling some of the requirements to qualify for the contract. So having my father on their but not having him sign shouldn't be so much of a problem as he is in fact a whole nother person...and my mother is a whole nother person with her own rights....since no one asked my father to sign any sort of contract or be involved in any way, he shouldn't...or more so NVC shouldn't think of him more than just another number on my moms tax information. Other than that, my mother has her own job, makes her own income, runs the household and only includes the very miniscule income of my father on her taxes as a formality towards their marriage really....other than that my father doesn't "OWN" her or vice-versa. And the NVC shouldn't expect my mother to have to do every single thing or make every single decision, or sign every single contract with him. Yes they are married and file jointly on their taxes, but no where in tax documentation does it mention that doing so obliges a person to split their rights with the joint filer. Therefor, NVC shouldn't assume such things either...

But that all goes to say if NVC plays by the actual rules....and not their "own" rules. Which to be honest......who can say really? So I guess, in the end the review itself will give us that answer. And I can just sit here and wait is all....lol.

what I mean to say is...since my father hasn't signed any sort of contract he shouldn't be committed to anything. If, of course, his signature or name were included then yes....that would cause loads of issues. Since we never even mentioned him throughout the entire contract, he shouldn't be included...that seems pretty obvious to me. Plus I believe my mother is entitled to her own financial decisions...whether or not she files jointly or separately. And same goes for my father...therefor his decision to not be included or committed to sponsorship......will not have to change.

Anyone know how long it would take DHL to deliver from Cincinatti hub, OH to Londonderry, NH?
