V, congrats on your hubby's medical. You guys are almost there too. :dance:

Just a quick update about our case... my new SS card arrived last Monday, and Carlo finally got his today. Yay!! Our next stop is to go to the DVM sometimes next week.

Yay, finally SS! Hey, don't let the foreigner drive your car for his driver's licence test, don't be crazy! I can somehow trust the immigrant to sleep with him, but when it comes to my car...now there more strict rules apply

LOL!

My SO has never driven so we have to start completely from scratch - gonna get a car like I would for my boys first car :)

I emailed the embassy 2 times asking about some information and they answered very promptly.

I also received an envelope from US embassy today,with an invitation to the interview ,written in Romanian , on a special paper ,with stamps from US embassy and US Consul signature.

I hear you Whidbey, my husband has never driven either!! I have a 14 year old to teach AND my hubby. LOL

OH NO NO NO NO!!! I ain't teachin him. I'll pay a school to do that!! I struggle enough driving with my boys while they are taking Drivers Education at the high school. HECK NO I am not teaching from scratch!!

Haha! You're such a riot.

Though Carlo had a driver's license in the Philippines, he's never driven his own car. And would you believe I don't even have a driver's license. LOL I always find family members to drive me around. LOL

My parents are giving us their van, but we are quite excited about the possibility of purchasing our very own car sometimes this year. But first, he needs to find a job.....

BTW, have you guys tried calling USCIS lately? Carlo has been here for over a month, and we'd like to inquire about the status of his green card. Is there a trick on how to talk to a real person? I tried calling the 1-800 number, but there's no option to talk to a customer rep. :unsure:

UPDATE - there is none unfortunately. It's been 25 hours and there have been no changes on the DHL website :cry: I'm trying hard to not be worried and PRAYING there hasn't been a plane crash in Europe.
