Yeah and their inconsistencies make us feel OH SO CONFIDENT that they know what the heck they are doing. Oh well, we are at their mercy and there's nothing we can do.

Hi kids! I've been gone since last Thursday, so I just wanted to say hey and I've missed ya. I see Holliday made it (yea! I knew you would), Mumtaz is back from the dead and pretty much everyone else is just awaiting the elusive interview dates. I would hope you'd all get them next week so I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

It was fun to celebrate both July 4th and Canada Day (July 1st) last week. I currently still have maple leaves painted on my toenails and a Canadian flag tattooed on my arm (Cracker Jack box variety tattoo lol). Just for the record, they made me do it but I didn't put up much of a fight. :innocent: We took my son to Niagara Falls and had a great time there also. My son even got to experience the fun his mom always has when her "number comes up" crossing the border and she ends up in the customs office for a full vehicle inspection. Blah. I swear my own countrymen hate me. Does a 5'11" blonde with a 5'10" 12 year old kid really look threatening? Did they think I stashed the drugs or the weapons on the kid? :o I've been pulled over so many times I just shake my head and laugh now.

Anyway, it's good to be back and catching up on everyone's happenings. :)

Forgot one thing - isn't Chrissy's interview this week? I know I could probably go look at the spreadsheet, but I'm lazy. lol If my memory serves me right and it is, good luck!! I know you're not around here much any more Chrissy (darn kids have a way of doing that to ya!), but if you pop in, we're rooting for ya!

Guess wut, today I received email from NVC and as soon as I opened it was an RFE for the PCC... I was like DAMN...even though message on AVR says case completed, where did this email came from..

I immediately called NVC and verified, and rep says, "That is regarding the PCC which you will get from your Regional Passport Office ONLY after you get the interview date schedules."

I was like what are you talking about lady, I waited about 3 weeks for my regional to come and submit my DS-230. And finally I submitted the copy of Regional PCC and now you are saying that I would not have required regional PCC in first place to submit my DS-230.

She's like "looks like there is some miss communication."

I am like, "That's ok at least case is completed, i'll bring PCC at the time of Interview."

I was also told to call on 15th to check for the Interview date...

Good Luck all...

hi!

I don't know why, but they are doing this with Pakistani petitions too and the same thing happened to me and many other people including Mumtaz! Just get a new PCC and bring it to the interview if you submitted the original! Good luck to you!!

I had the same thing from NVC, however if you call the embassy, they will tell you that the PCC is valid for one year from time of issue. So as long as you are within that time frame, you are not required to submit a new PCC, unless you want to. The NVC has a standard procedure to ask you to bring a new one, as usually sometimes by the time people get their documents and things together to respond to an RFE, it is over a year. For that reason you would need a new one.

I've missed you guys. The past few days have been crazy. Carlo and I have been trying to settle down and redecorating our room. It's fun but very exhausting.

Anyway, I think Chrissy's husband interview is coming up this week? I think it's on the 8th of the month. Goodluck to Ben. I'm sure he'll be with you and little Sophia in no time.
