OHHHHH I hate that feeling....waiting for the bad news from the car guy. That's why I bought (and sell) a handheld computer diagnostic tool for my vehicles! That way I already know the problem and how much it should cost!

I took son out to lunch and got him his first legal beer, they even carded him. Not sure when we leave tonight to go bar hoppin, but I'm prayin he doesn't want to go off island or even to the northend of the island. I still have to go to work tomorrow!

I hope you had a good night with your son!

Luckily my news from the car guy wasn't too bad at all. I needed a new tie-rod, and that's it. It wasn't too pricey. And now the car doesn't sound like Chewbacca anymore, so that's good! :) I also had some regular maintenance stuff done, so it should be all fit for the trip!

I'm just packing up and I'll be hitting the road shortly. Wish me luck at the border!

Glad to hear your car wasn't too bad!!! Best of luck crossing the border.

Can you believe I got blown off by my own son??? LOL! His friends thought it would be funner (and safer) to throw him a party at someone's house and then they would all sleep it off there. He and I are going out tonight though.

Well, good news then bad news. The interview was this morning. The CO said everything was fine and she could pick up her visa at 3pm. When she arrived to pickup the visa the lady said they weren't finished doing the security checks but then gave her a paper. She said to come back between 8 and 10 am tomorrow for her visa.

When my wife read the paper though it was the standard 221 g saying that they needed the further documentation:

- proof of education

- administrative processing

She did not bring her diploma with her unfortunately so I don't know why they want her to come back tomorrow knowing she doesn't have it with her. She would have to travel back Belarus to get her diploma. Since she is from Belarus though, she has to go home and reapply for another Polish visa to go back to the Embassy which takes 2 weeks.

I guess I don't understand what proof of education has to do with proving our relationship/marriage or evidence of support. I don't know why if they required it, why they didn't put it on the list of documents she should bring. Totally bummed us out...

We weren't sure if administrative processing meant the security checks they said they hadn't finished but were supposed to be complete by tomorrow morning or if it was something else.

So she will go back at 8am tomorrow to see what they say.

Is it unusual that they told her she was approved but then gave her the 221g for proof of education later when she came to get the visa? :(

Finally..

and yes Chris you definitely next, if all documents are intact .. it does not take more than 6 business days.... Good Luck

IM NOT DEAD!

Ofcourse no one missed me!!!! :ranting: Such boobs!

Anyways, I had the best time ever the passed week enjoying a nice vacation with my family (cousins from u.s come to visit and my older brother) in Murree, Pakistan....(known as the Manchester of Asia). IT WAS BEAUTIFUL! Mountains everywhere.....thank god we brought the land cruiser.....otherwise the amount of cars we saw on the side of the roads unable to go up them.....that was sad. Anywho.....shopping was great, and PC hotel in Bhurban was absolutely amazing. Straight 5 stars! The food wasn't so great though......the lazagna was delicious....but cold on the inside, which made me puke....and the hamburgers the kids ordered were fine to them, but one bite told me that no nephew of mine is eating straight up raw meat!!! OH NO! The drama I started.........dang. I'm darn sure the hotel staff will surely remember me for quite a while. We got free deserts and a free breakfast though.....of course I made them order us McDonalds sundaes for desert and KFC for breakfast! HAHA. Run for that money biatches....RUNN! lol. I love being pregnant so far!!!

Anywho......I missed you silly b1tches! Congrats V....or would you prefer V-DAWG? (like I care.......I'm calling you V whether you "prefer" it or not...shoot, If you don't like it, we could always go right back to #######? ;) )

How's it go Whidbey? Nice to hear your teaching you wonderful adult son some good ol' values........at least now he knows....if he ever needs a free beer, he can always turn to his mommy! ;) Damn I wish my parents were that awesome! LOL.

Nice to hear everything's going so well for you so far Holliday. Hopefully everything goes exactly as planned for your trip........oh and just saying.....I always bring meat with me when crossing the border. We always plan on bbq'ing asap....so I prepare and marinate the meat before-hand and just stick it in the cooler covered in aluminum foil underneath the beach chairs and what not. Of course that's from the u.s to Canada......prolly not as easy for the Canadians though now that I think about the way back.

So sad to hear about the RFE Ani...hope you can get it cleared up quickly. But still, what I don't understand is how the heck can they lose your photos and then blame it on you! DAMN NVC!

Anyways.....sad as it is, no news from my side just yet. Though I do believe my mother is express mailing me her tax info and employment letters, pay stubs and what not from the passed 3 years. Well actually.....they filed for an extension for 2008...so she is mailing me her postal receipt for that. I believe it's good until they get some actual correspondence from the IRS. I've read on VJ plenty of people made due with just that. It should get here in 6-10 business days......or that's what they say at least. hmm...

I'm just praying I get the stuff soon so I can finally submit my AOS stuff and hear case complete like everyone else!!!! What a relief that would be, although......I will most probably only be able to catch a late september early october interview date though........what do ya say Whidbey? Say if I send my stuff in hmmm.....by July 14-20? Jeez I hate how long this is taking!!!!! My fault....but still.
