My grandmother passed away in May and we just found an insurance policy she purchased before 1984 and she listed my brother, sister, cousin and I as beneficiaries. It's possible it's worth more than the amount she purchased but for now just expecting 1/4 of the purchase amount. :)

Ladies, I either have another false RFE or this time I reeeeeeeeeally f-ed up.

The AVR message now says" NVC has reviewed your case and found information missing. A letter has been sent to you bla bla..."

So I spoke with an operator and she seems to think that the message pertains only to AOS, and because DS-230 wasn't with it at the time that's why that message was generated. I don't understand how that message would be ONLY about AOS because yesterday, which is a day after they received my DS-230, the message said they received all my info and it is under review ...

Anyway, she said as far as she can tell the case is still under review and she cannot tell me what specifically is missing, if anything at all, and she told me to give it couple of days to let them review the DS-230 and we'll know for sure what's going on. Sounded kinda like BS response, so I'm hoping it is a false RFE...

Just a quick note... Carlo and I arrived in SF last night at 9:35 PM. We were supposed to get here at 8PM, but our flight was delayed in Manila for over 2 hours.

Anyway, everything went well during the US custom clearance. Carlo's visa will serve as his temporary greencard for a year till his real greencard arrives within the next few months. His social security card should arrive in two weeks, but he can already apply for a California ID or driver license, etc, using his temporary greencard (visa).

It sucks that I have to go to work today. Yikes!

I will try to catch up and read everything I missed this weekend.

Anyway, everything went well during the US custom clearance. Carlo's visa will serve as his temporary greencard for a year till his real greencard arrives within the next few months. His social security card should arrive in two weeks, but he can already apply for a California ID or driver license, etc, using his temporary greencard (visa).

Anyway, I just received email from NVC, and yes my RFE was a false one, because the rfe checklist only had DS-230 listed.

It's all good, moving right along :dance:
