Am I being a bi*ch or is it really annoying that people come here and ask the dumbest questions, such as what's the difference between Ds-230 and Ds-3032. I mean c''mon if you read over the guide just once, or read what's post on uscis site you would have figured it out.

I am getting really irritated that this site is not better moderated, there are hundreds of topics being started to ask a single question, when all they needed to do was perform a single forum search, and the least I would like to see is someone linking those questions under a common thread.

Anyway, I needed to vent a little. I come here to get some valuable information and come across some 10 -20 dumbas$$ questions instead...

Thanks for listening :)

I don't think you're being a b1tch, but maybe that's because I'm being one too as I totally agree with you. lol The questions I have problems with are the ones that are CLEARLY addressed in all of the guides. That really irritates me. We took the time to read those guides, so in my opinion, everyone else should too. But no, they'd rather take the easy way, instead of doing the research involved. Honestly, I'm probably jumping on this vent bandwagon because that's my worst frustration at work. Instead of taking five minutes to try to figure out something themselves, employees would rather walk in my office and ask me how to do something when they haven't even investigated it. It shows ZERO initiative to me and I have ZERO respect for that. Whew! You thought you were a b1tch? Look at me go!!

When I was a newbie, I also had problem understanding the popular "TOUCHED". I didn't know what was it. But, I didn't put it as a question. I read alot of posts and figure it out by myself. But I agree that many dumb questions are asked. I just ignore them!!

CHILL there a bit girl. We ALL have our moments of going the easy route and asking questions instead of researching - kinda like your question earlier today - it's been addressed in this thread a few times and I'm sure over the years it's been asked NUMEROUS times also.

Remember some come to this site and it's their first experience in a forum type setting and this site is REALLY overwhelming at first. I remember my first day here, I cried that night because there was so much and I really didn't have any idea that this process was going to be ANYTHING like this.

We all have our thresholds of what is irritating. After I got a grasp on the process and how lengthly it was going to be it REALLY annoyed the heck outta me to read people whining about no touches or how they are so upset because nothing was changing in their status - after a week or so. I couldn't understand why the heck people couldn't just go with the flow of the process, I mean really all one has to do is go look at the stats on the immigration timeline section and see what the averages for your processing center or the consulate are. It's really not all that difficult count so many days from the date you filed and know you should be at the next stage and I thought a "wise" person would go through all the stats and then anticipate the longest wait time that way if it they made the next step earlier it would be seen as a blessing. BUT what I've come to realize is that not EVERYONE likes to do things the way I do, we all have our own way of dealing with the stress this process puts on us all.

I also realize your venting is your way of dealing with the stress too :), just want to remind you of where we have been and that the individual who asked the question is at that stage in the beginning so give 'em a break, give them the answer or direct them to the right place to get the answer (as you did) :)

We're almost done girl, just hold it all together and your love will be in your arms soon.

I totally agree with both of you! And I don't think it's being bitchy, either. I just don't understand the mentality of "I'm too lazy to read or search for myself, so spoon-feed the answers to me." I mean, this process is super important! It's your LIFE you're dealing with here! Why wouldn't you want to know everything possible?

And of course, it's totally different when people are just looking for clarification or reassurance or something about things that they've read. You know, because they're nervous, or overwhelmed by the amount of information they have come across. I don't think any of us would shake our heads at, or be annoyed by someone who asked something like "I need to learn about the NVC stage of this process. I read that the DS-3032 form is about the "choice of agent". It seems that this is used to determine who the NVC will correspond with for my case. I also read that the DS-230 form is biographic information about the beneficiary. Is this right? Am I understanding correctly?" You know what I mean?

And really, as I'm posting this right now, it says in a large font right above the message window: "Please consider reading the FAQ's and Guides before posting." Maybe it should be in a larger font? Hehe.

(Sometimes I wonder if a few of the people who ask these kinds of question may actually be some of the crappy immigration lawyers we've all read so much about...)

Anyways, to continue venting, I've pretty much just HAD it with people today. I'm in an "I hate everything" kind of mood.
