hello strangers! :star:

i know it has been a while since i have been able to come on here... motherhood is very time-consuming. but, we are both doing well. she was a month old yesterday... i can't believe it. time flies. i will be going back to work the week after 4th of july weekend and i am already getting sad about leaving her.

congrats to everyone who has interviews in july and all of the case completes! it is all so exciting. and a huge congrats to carlish :) i am so happy for you!

ben got an early july interview date in italy. he has the medical exam on july 7 and the interview on july 8. we are excited. i can't wait for him to get here. we are hoping that he will be able to leave italy a day or two after the interview date... but we don't want to buy a ticket or anything yet "just in case" the visa doesn't get approved.

i don't see why it wouldn't be approved... but all of the paperwork that we did was just talking about me and ben and not our daughter because she wasn't born yet. do you guys think that will be a problem? both the NVC and the italian consulate should know about the baby since we requested an expedite due to the pregnancy... but the I864 and all of the paperwork was just for two people (me and ben) instead of three. however, the income on the I864 is still well above the required amount for three people, so i am hoping it will not be an issue.

i sent him a copy of her birth certificate (which has both of our names on it) and some photos to take to the interview... hopefully that should be enough.

Hey stranger! Welcome back. I'm glad you and little one are doing well. And to make it even more amazing, Ben finally has an interview date. Yay!!

Bringing your daughter's birth certificate and photos should be fine. Ben can explain the rest.... I really don't see any reason why they wouldn't approve his visa. Ben will be with you guys soon. I'm really excited and happy for you. :star: :star:

One question

My Marriage certificate original was already in ENGLISH as those are issued by the marriage registrar now in Pak - so i hope they will accept it - I also attached an explanation about the marriage being in English hence did not include the Native language certificate. Am i good?

Thanks

I think it's better to have it translated just in case.... it's better to be overly prepared.

Holy cow has it been a month already?! Man, time flies. Unbelievable. I'm so glad you popped back in to let us know about Ben's interview. I'm sure taking the pics and the BC will be fine for the interview.

On a motherhood note, don't worry, you'll sleep normally again one day. Granted "one day" is a long way off but it will happen... when she moves out. lol I think one of my happiest days was when my son was finally old enough to get up in the morning and get himself a bowl of cereal so I could sleep in! :innocent: Also, I know when a baby cries it sometimes can drive you crazy as you don't know what they need or what the problem is, but don't say, "Boy I wish she could talk so I know what is wrong," because as soon as they do talk, you'll be praying for them to shut up. I might have a 13 year old boy, but he (and all of his friends) can talk more than 8 year old girls! Aagggh! lol Seriously though, congratulations on everything and it's nice to have you back. (F)

So, when I called NVC the other day and got the message "NVC is avaiting biographical information from the petitioner" it also said: "once this information is received please allow 6 to 8 weeks for the review of all your information and you will be notified of the decision bla bla bla".

Did your message say the same, 6-8 weeks?

Dang, I hope it doesn't take that long...

I was thinking since I didn't send DS-230 when that message was generated and that triggered "a false RFE", maybe the 6-8 weeks pertains to RFE time line...

I just can't stop thinking about it, and I don't think I could wait another 8 weeks for case complete.

Yep, Betsy's right. Don't believe their 6-8 weeks mumbo jumbo. It's just the standard answer they give so you don't call them so much. lol

Am I being a bi*ch or is it really annoying that people come here and ask the dumbest questions, such as what's the difference between Ds-230 and Ds-3032. I mean c''mon if you read over the guide just once, or read what's post on uscis site you would have figured it out.

I am getting really irritated that this site is not better moderated, there are hundreds of topics being started to ask a single question, when all they needed to do was perform a single forum search, and the least I would like to see is someone linking those questions under a common thread.

Anyway, I needed to vent a little. I come here to get some valuable information and come across some 10 -20 dumbas$$ questions instead...

Thanks for listening :)
