So I still haven't received my NOA1. I just called and the 800 # and they pass me through too an agent. I was asked for my name and he said I should have received it. Then he checked my address, and it was all wrong! It had the wrong street number, the wrong zip code, and the wrong apt. #! I was NEVER going to get the NOA1. So he put in a Service Request, but that can take up too a month to get, so I guess I won't be able to check the status of my case for a while...

ohhhh no! That's awful. How did that even happen, how could they have gotten your address so messed up. Can't you call and ask for expedited shipping seeing as the mistake was on their side? As far as waiting a month.....that's what they say about receiving your noa1 after delivery that it could take 1-3 months in most cases. So I wouldn't completely depend on that little bit of information really.....the uscis has already proven to all of us how very wrong they are about waiting times and processing. Don't worry, hopefully they'll correct their mistake and you'll get your noa1 soon.

Yes, every single day........I just checked the site my 6th time today, and it is only 5:30pm here....there is still the rest of the evening and all night long so another 18 or so times more most likely....and today was a very busy and hectic day for me, was away from my laptop most of the time.

Hello everyone. I'm a little slow as I've been in Canada with my husband over the weekend and never got online. We were busy.

Congrats on all of the NOA1s!!!!!! I haven't gotten mine yet, but judging by your dates, I should have mine by the end of this week I think. I was so relieved to read that you all started to get yours because when I left last week, no one had gotten any. I figured if you hadn't gotten yours yet, mine certainly wasn't coming yet as I'm a 1-2 weeks behind most of you. Anyway, a big congrats again!! Way to go!!

My husband received the NOA1 in the mail today! The receipt date shows as Feb. 22, and the notice date is Feb. 27. Oh, and it turns out that CSC will be processing our petition, not VSC. Also, our case status isn't available online, so that's kinda annoying. I'll continue checking for it, and hopefully it will show up eventually.

...called in sick today...hubby and i had an argument...not just feeling so well after a day's worth of crying...

awwww.....it's ok taj. Me and my hub are always arguing...24/7...no joke! I think we both kind of get a kick out of it, as odd as that sounds. Honestly speaking.....good couples always argue....the only couples that don't argue with each other usually end up finding, or have already found someone else to spend that valuable arguing time with.... It's just a part of being a healthy couple sweety. Then add all of the extra stress that this immigration process puts on the couples going through it, that is a-whole-nother can of worms really. You just have to do your absolute best and try to not let the separation and distance get to you as much....have to try and think about the wonderful days to come when your men are both with you and you are all well, healthy and happy as can be inshallah!!!

yea, hang in there. me and my wife argue almost every other day too. its normal to argue since we're always stressed out about the process. but in the end we always kiss each other before going to bed

...I AM JUST IN ALOT OF STRESS...i worry so much and i feel like there is so much weight on my shoulder...and i cant control my anger and my head spins and spins...sometimes i even just think of cancelling the whole petition and moving back to the phil and just be with my son and not care...but that reality kicks in, like how will i feed my son? what future does he have if i give up now...

i have days of relapse where i just try to sleep everything off (like 14 hours straight) because theres just so much stress...

anyway im feeling a little better now...thanks mumtaz

any time taj!!! Just please don't let it get to you. I completely understand how stressed out you are, with everything seeming like it's all your responsibility...all your burden. But don't let the pressure get to you because, if you really let reality kick in...with an honest heart you'll actually come to realize that you've got nothing at all to worry about. Once this immigration process is over, your husband will be able to work and help you raise your son together. You won't feel like you'll be carrying the burden alone anymore, in fact.....it isn't even a burden. It's more like a test of love, and of faith. If you keep at it with both of these intact you will become successful....and possibly even the happiest women on earth. Just remember....it might seem like 12 months (the most time it should take to get your guys here) is a very long time....but remember in your highschool/college days? How time just flew by? How the years end would come....and you'd be like....what on earth...it's that time of year already? Well....those were our most stressless times.....the times when life was just a breeze...and if anything bad were to happen....whats the big deal, we were so full of hope and so optimistic and so sure that if something does go wrong...you'll find a way to get around it right.....that was the easiest part of life wasn't it. Well....the only difference between that part of life and this part is.......what we believe. What we think is reality and what we think is impossible. That is the only difference. Back then I used to feel pretty much invincible....nothing could bring me down. And as I began getting older I began letting worries, stress, work, reality and just pure life take over the fact that it was my OWN LIFE TO LIVE! In all honesty....whatever it is that is bringing you down, may seem like the worst thing in this world......and may feel hopeless. But just remember, like when you were in highschool.....life isn't so short as everyone says, there's plenty of time to live it and if something goes wrong today....it'll eventually go right tomorrow or the day after....etc.

Thinking too deeply about things that worry us...like things we think are burden, things we feel we are carrying alone...and it is hopeless to try blah blah. Those thoughts are the only things separating us from an easy and burden free life. Instead of thinking of it as a burden, or a thing or chore that must be done by you and you alone. Think of it as an adventure (doesn't that sounds soooo cheesy...lol)....really, just think of this process as an adventure and your leading the way...with your husband and son to wherever it is this adventure will take you...and that place is a happy place! And you brought them there....

I'm sure your husband understands the stress your under with the job, with this process and with not being with your son. I'm sure he's just as stressed as you are, what with studies, your son, thinking about your sons future...and his and yours together. Ask him to help you relieve yourself of some of the stress by telling him to come here....to vj! Maybe if he signs up and learns a few things about this process on his own...and gets involved he can help take some of the stress off of you by handling things that can be handled by him in the philipines.....maybe he'll call the embassy in manila himself rather than ask you to do it. Plus....it would be so much easier, and such a nice and fun experience for the two of you to go through this process together...and think how cute and enjoyable it would be if you two were both on vj hmm? I think it would be nice for the two of you to share this together.
