I believe that will be not this week but next week for all those who are complete by then, well at least scheduled. As for dates.... I'll work a little more on the spreadsheet (forgot to account for wait time between case complete and getting scheduled)

hehehe I was just joking!

I think we might get lucky and have interview dates starting this week

This week would be nice, but I'm not holding my breath. I'd really like to know the date just because we're trying to plan a lot of things and it's a little difficult when we don't know what time frame the interview/move is going to go on. Because of Montreal being busy, I'm sure we're in August, but it would be great to know if we're at least looking at the beginning of the month or the end. Kevin, do you think you'll get a July interview?

yea im pretty sure I'll get a july interview. im trying to figure out my interview date too because my wife have to book the banquet for our wedding ceremony. we need to give them a month heads up so as soon as i get the date, i will give her the green light

That's not lousy, it's just the way it is. Heck, we got married on a Friday here in the US and my husband left on Sunday so he could be back to work on Monday morning. No biggie, just the way it is in this crazy immigration world. BTW, we still haven't had a honeymoon either.

That's totally cool that you're going to be able to have a real ceremony, reception and honeymoon. I assume your friends and family will be able to attend. So which date will you celebrate as your anniversary - the date you signed the certificate or the date you have this ceremony?

I have decided on a dress I want for our vow renewal ceremony http://www.maggiesottero.com/dress.aspx?pa...amp;style=S5229

now I just gotta come up with money to buy it. I have a feeling I will take my own advice above and just charge it, what the heck, gotta be a little happy while we're alive :)

I want to put chocolate sash and the satin underneath will be more pearl-y, so the lace pops even more.

Anyway, I am excite about it so I figure I'd share that with ya

What a beautiful dress, vareska! I'm sure you will look gorgeous on it.

That's a beaitiful dress! and after all the trouble you deserve it!!

I have a question, it may be silly what are the packets 3 and 4? My husband and I are going to Mexico next week and we are planing to stay there til' the interview day, so we are wondering if we are suposed to recieve something more here in the States or if we are good to go after the case is complete with NVC?

From my understanding, packet 3 & 4 are actually AOS packet (3) and DS-230 packet (4).

"Back in the day" pple had to wait for the bar code sheet for AOS and IV to be sent to them, or they "forged" their own (see LinChe shortcuts, James' shortcuts).

They didn't have the luxury of email correspondence with NVC and online generated cover sheets like we do today :)

NOA 1 - packet 1

NOA2 - packet 2

AOS - packet 3

DS-230 -packet 4

So, no, there is noting else that you need to receive.

Have fun in Mexico!

I was thinking all along that packet 3 and 4 were the appointment/interview letter and instruction letter from NVC. I guess I was mistaken.

Good news I got the email from NVC today and it was a false RFE!!!! my case is complete!!!!

Yea!!! Congratulations!! Finally some good news in this darn thread.

we just found out last week that our first child is on its way :)

Yeea!!! More good news! Congrats to you and your husband. (F)

Congrats, our best wishes!

Thank you girls (F) (F) (F) Your support means so much to me (L)

After all the bad news lately on this thread, I was so afraid to share the good news with my FFF Friends as I do not want to hurt someone else's feelings and I appologize in advance if I do :blush:

Much love to all and God bless (L) (L) (L)

I totally missed your great news, Chris and Ani!! Congratulations!! I'm so happy for you guys.

I am having a really complicated time w/ the aos packet because i decided to ask my parents to please joint sponsor my husband and finally after 3 months they have agreed....but problem is that my parents haven't filed for 2008 taxes yet and will be getting to that soon....they also say that they will file 2009 taxes next year...i think that is how it is done right?....because how can they file for 2009 when that financial year hasn't even completed yet. They can provide my mothers 6 months pay stubs, my fathers copies of checks and 2008,2007,2006 tax info. I forgot to explain about the employment letters but will ask about them today.....do you think that the employment letters are necessary? my mother is an lpn nurse and father is travel agent.......???

What is worrying me the most is that I have never needed to file taxes because i have never had a real job. I graduated, meaning i got my ged in early 2008 and since then still consider myself a student as i plan to start college once i get back to the states. I am freaking out about what sort of financial docs i should send....i basically have none as i have never filed taxes or had a job as mentioned above. Should i just fill out the i864 and have my parents fill out 1 i864a?(they wouldnt have to fill out two would they???) and just send my parents financial docs and not mine...as i have none? Any idea as to what I can do??

The questions:

- they will file 2009 taxes next year...i think that is how it is done right?because how can they file for 2009 when that financial year hasn't even completed yet.

- do you think that the employment letters are necessary? my mother is an lpn nurse and father is travel agent.......???

- Should i just fill out the i864 and have my parents fill out 1 i864a?(they wouldnt have to fill out two would they..they do joint taxes and grandma is dependant???) and just send my parents financial docs and not mine...as i have none?

I think you still need to send your own I-864 and provide an explanation why you haven't filed taxes.

How many days does it take for NVC to review the AOS and DS-230 once they received it? and what are my chances of getting a case complete before 12th June - I believe NVC only schedule interviews 2nd of week of every month which sux

In my case, it took a week for both AOS and DS-230 to be approved after the package was entered into their system.

So you're having an unofficial official wedding ceremony? I'm just kidding. ;) So where will that be held at?

its gonna be in vietnam. we signed the marriage certificate and 4 days later i had to return to the US. so this time will be the wedding ceremony and honeymoon. YEA I KNOW, Im a lousy husband. hehehe :innocent:

That's not lousy, it's just the way it is. Heck, we got married on a Friday here in the US and my husband left on Sunday so he could be back to work on Monday morning. No biggie, just the way it is in this crazy immigration world. BTW, we still haven't had a honeymoon either.

That's totally cool that you're going to be able to have a real ceremony, reception and honeymoon. I assume your friends and family will be able to attend. So which date will you celebrate as your anniversary - the date you signed the certificate or the date you have this ceremony?

we use the day that we first met as our anniversary. speaking of it, its coming up this May 10th. our 1 year anniversary!....darn i miss my wife

Um.... May 10th was a few weeks ago. Don't tell me you missed it. That would make you a lousy husband. LMAO

opps, I meant to say June 10th

I'm glad you meant June or I was going to have to drive to wherever you are and hit you on behalf of your wife. Well, I hope we both get interview dates for your anniversary then.

The questions:

- they will file 2009 taxes next year...i think that is how it is done right?because how can they file for 2009 when that financial year hasn't even completed yet.

Yea. They'll file 2009 next year. You wouldnt need their 2009 tax info for your aos packet.

- do you think that the employment letters are necessary? my mother is an lpn nurse and father is travel agent.......???

They do not need any employment letters because they are not the petitioners.

- Should i just fill out the i864 and have my parents fill out 1 i864a?(they wouldnt have to fill out two would they..they do joint taxes and grandma is dependant???) and just send my parents financial docs and not mine...as i have none?

They will both have to file separate 864a for you and include two sets of tax returns even though they file jointly.

As far as you are concerned, its a little complicated issue. Because they require you to file taxes. I think there is even a question on 864 asking that did you file taxes for last three years. So, you will need a letter or something proving that you did not work. I would suggest that you file 2008 tax return even if you had very little income. I guess I will send you a detailed message regarding this.

Hope this helps. best of prayers.

To each is a goal to which God turns him; then strive together (as in a race) Towards all that is good.

Wheresoever ye are, God will bring you Together. For God Hath power over all things.

(Quran, Chapter 2: verse 148)

Hey guys, I'm setting everything up to go to Mexico I fly on thursday is kinda bitter sweet because today we found out my husband won't be able to come with me at least not right now, we;ll see if he can meet me there later for the interview and to visit my family.

since I'm setting everything up I wanted to share something with you, I'm preparing the stuff I'm bringing to the interview and I'm choosing the pictures that we are gonna print and well we were gonna print them in our printer here at home but yesterday we went to walmart and in the photo section I saw this photo album that they have is like a mini book with pictures and i think is a good deal the one with up to 36 pictures of 4x6 with 10 pages is 7 dollars and the one with up to 72 8x10 pictures with 10 pages too is 19.76

We are gonna go and have ours made tomorrow because we think is a better deal than printing them ourselves.

I just wanted to share it with you guys for those preparing for the interview too or those who soon will have to get ready for it
