Did you guys send in a letter from your employer with your AOS packet? I read that people are doing that as optional evidence, but I haven't received my letter yet and I am just so anxious to send this in, so I was wondering how many of you who got approved actually used employer letter as evidence?

I have all my tax transcripts and 6 months worth of pay check stubs. I am thinking that's enough ...

I sent a letter with my packet. I think you should be fine because you are sending other proofs such as pay stubs. Why not check with NVC. You could ask two different operators and if they say it is not a problem, then you could mail the package without a Job letter! Good luck!!

hi all!

How is everyone doing? Just mailed AOS packet couple of days ago and will mail Ds-230 tomorrow.

I have a question for kevin and all others who got real RFE. When you got RFE, did NVC email you that Document Cover sheet that you had to mail abck with RFE documents and the reason for RFE?? or Did you have to wait for the snail mail???

Did anyone just got case completed?? Good luck to all!!

WhidBeyGirl, Thanks again for the reminder, I just updated my timeline!!!

A checklist letter will be sent via email. The checklist and bar-coded cover sheet need to be returned with the RFE package.

Things have been pretty busy for me in the last few days or so. I'm scheduled to leave for the Philippines next week, but I haven't even packed yet.

I guess I've been stressing over my husband's interview on June 8. Hopefully, the interview will be successful and I will be able to fly back into the US with him... finger crossed!

hi carllish! I believe everything will be fine at your husband's interview. Have a safe trip!! Enjoy!!! Best of luck to both of you!!

I think the employment letter is necessary document for the evidence. You should goto your HR office and get it inperson. Thats what I did, but you definetly need to send that letter as an evidence.

I made a small mistake on DS-230. My wife mailed me signed Ds-230 and I filled it out for her. She gave me all the information. The third question where it says Write your name in native alaphbet if not Roman, I mistakenly wrote her Maiden Name instead of her new married name

Do u folks think it's going to be a big thing?? I think she can fix it at the interview before she signs part 2 at the interview

How long would it take if you ask your wife to send you another copy of DS-230?

If you'd rather send it now to avoid delay, what you can do is write additional comment about that question and write both her maiden and married names on a separate sheet of paper.

I already mail the packet in the morning today through USPS express mail. I realized this mistake after I mailed the Packet!!

My wife sent me several signed copies of Ds-230, so that is not a problem. I still have three copies with her signature. It is not going to be a problem at NVC stage becaues most reviewers can not understand our native language(Urdu). And I do not wanna send another Ds-230 now because they may get confuse and delay the processing.

It may only be a problem at the interview, but I think they will allow her to change it. I don't think it is big deal because some people even leave this question blank. Thanks!

i think you will get an RFE for this, because the names dont match. NVC is really ####### when it comes to the I-864 and DS-230. I got an RFE because I didnt list ALL the places my wife lived after the age of 16. I listed 2 and missed 1 and got an RFE for it. I dont think it should be a big deal though, probably tell you to correct and resubmit it. just tell your wife to send you another signed copy and be ready if they request it.

Thanks kevin! That's good man! You should be getiing an interview letter and date any day now!!! Kepp us informed. I don't think I will be able to get a July interview, but i am hoping may be I get lucky. My documents both for AOS and Ds-230 were very very organized. It will be very easy for a reviwer! Let's see what happens!!
