i called and they said that i should wait for 4 - 6 weeks for the fee bill to be generated...what is this?! am i on AP or something? such a total bummer...

WBgirl...im going to erase some of my inbox in a second...

I'm no expert but what I've seen is that they say that but in reality it takes much more less time to do it, I was reading in the AVR post that someone was saying that they should changed the word weeks for days ha ha, so I don't think is RFE just the normal waiting, you'll get it soon.

My guess is they sy that to be on the safe side

Good luck

Please HELP! :unsure::unsure:

With DS230 do we have to send petitioner's birth certificate as well with Beneficiary's BC?

I am looking at the NVC website and there is nothing mentioned about the Spouse (Petitioner's) BC. see below

Petitioner Documents

Applicants in the following visa categories are required to provide 1) an original or certified copy of their Petitioner’s birth certificate and 2) original or certified copy of their Petitioner’s marriage certificate from the Petitioner’s current and all previous marriages.

Parent of a U.S. Citizen who is at least 21 years old (IR-5)

Brothers and sisters of United States citizens (F4)

The DS-230 is all about the beneficiary, so only the beneficiary's BC is required. Good luck! :)

I've got some awful news that is really upsetting me......although I'm not sure this is the place for sharing it....I basically have no where else to go at the moment, and with Whidbey's terrible news....I feel even more awkward but I can't help myself as I am seriously very very sad at the moment and really need to share!

I had a miscarriage! I haven't told my inlaws yet, just my husband....we are both really upset because we were both so very excited about my being pregnant and this is the worst news for me!!! I don't know how or why it even happened...even the nurses at the hospital didn't say anything and my doctor doesnt have a clue other than...try again...thats all she said. All that happened was that I was feeling really lethargic and fatigued all morning and after checking our forum here and giving my condolences to whidbey for her recent loss I decided to take a nap for a bit. When I woke up I felt really odd and was having really strong stomach cramps....like menstrual cramps but about 10 times worse and I looked at my clothes and everything, even the bed and my shirt and pants had blood stains on them...I miscarried in my pants for no apparent reason at all and I'm really upset and want to know how come even though we were doing so much to care and were seeing my doctor regularly and everything seemed really good and normal......so why???

I'm so upset I don't know what to do. I can't talk to anyone yet.....just my husband.....but still I just don't know what to do. I feel like the worst thing in my world has gone and happened without any warning signs so that I could have at least tried to prevent it. We were stupid to have gotten so excited about my being pregnant...even though my husband says not to think like that.....thats how i feel. Of course he says to keep trying and nothing is lost......but how would he know....I'm the one that lost something, and even though it was way too early I was beginning to feel so mother-like...so...pregnant.

I just had to rant!!! I'm sorry......this just sucks really badly for me. I'll probably feel better in a day or two......since this is new for me it hurts more. I'm just really confused is all....why cant my stupid doctor tell me anything!!!! JEEZ!

Oh my gosh, I am SO sorry Mumtaz. :( I see this happened a few days ago (I was in Canada), are you feeling any better? At least from a physical stand point? My thoughts are with you girl. (F)

Hi Everyone...

I called the AVR this morning while Sofia was asleep (rare moment) and it said that our case was completed on May 22. Finally! :star:

For the rest of you who have their cases completed, how long did it take for you to receive the e-mail from NVC with the interview date? I think I read that they do not schedule interviews until the second week of the month, which is annoying. I plan on calling them anyway just to be sure.

My mom went back to work, so it is just me and Sofia now. It is definitely a huge adjustment, but I think we are doing okay. It would be nice to have my husband here for the extra support! (and I totally know what you all mean about the phone bills... we spend about $50 a week and we Skype pretty much every day)

Hope you are all doing well (L)

congrats

they're not scheduling any interviews till next month now. But, call the operator and ask them if you qualify for expediting of case because of the baby. Make excuses that you need him here to help with the baby cuz its difficult. (i'll let you think of an excuse) ;)

I feel your pain. My monthly bill is always $100-$200. Plus, this month I called him from my cell as well while we were taking care of the documents, I don't even wanna imagine my next cell bill :)

The internet service providers in Bosnia suck, he changed services so many times in order for us to use skype or msn video confrence features, but connection is always so weak that it works for only couple minutes and it gets annoying to keep reconnecting. So for 6 years now I have been calling him pretty much every day, we could have saved for a house by now with the money I spent on phone calls :)

I have the same problem. Internet is non existant in Pakistan, and electricity fluctuation is so bad that internet is impossible.

My telephone bill used to be about a $100, and since after my wedding, last four months, I have paid about $630 on average. :(

Yea Chrissy! I wonder what took them so long? Oh who cares, you're done now!

BTW, don't believe them when they tell you they only schedule the second week of the month. In April, they scheduled all kinds of interviews much past the second week, at least for Montreal.

Sorry, but the only real answer is that Vermont is pretty slow. Check some of the folks with Vermont timelines for a K-3 visa (most of us in this thread filed for CR1 visas) and that should give you a good idea of what time frame you're looking at.
