Called nvc and checked the avr and heard the dreaded RFE missing/incomplete information message...eeeek! The horror! My heart completely stopped and dropped right down to my stomach for a second before I realized it might just be because of the aos pkg i haven't sent yet....so I spoke to an operator and she confirmed that it is because they are waiting for my aos package and my iv pkg review is complete with no such rfe! Of course i had to ask 7-8 more times if there were any chance i had an actual rfe....answer was obviously NO! WOOHOO!Yeah!

The avr said they sent the checklist by email on the 20th.....email shouldn't be this slow......how long should it take to reach my inbox? Any idea carlish...

Seems I will be waiting a VERY VERY long time for my aos packet to be put together.....joint sponsor is doing her absolute best to speed things up but she wants so badly to clear the misspelled last names on her taxes and for some reason the irs is being awful about it.....she says it shouldn't be long until the mess is cleared up, but my own estimates are more round about 1-2 more stupid months. :( . Ah well........I guess winter isn't that bad a time to go back to the states......yeh...right...winter in NY compared to Pakistan!!!lol!!

Congrats Kevinbui and Somber on your case completes! Hope you guys get really early interview dates. ^_^

You should get the checklist letter by email tomorrow or Friday at the latest. It takes 2 to 3 days for them to finally release it.

DONE WITH MY CONSULAR INTERVIEW THIS MORNING.

MY VISA WAS APPROVED. I AM RELIEVED NOW.

AT LAST, AFTER 3MOS. & 2 WEEKS MJ AND I WERE

I used to get rfe msges on avr on friday nights and receive emails by Tuesday afternoon. So, 2-3 days sound right.

You will get this email about missing aos packet too, but you can just ignore it. Thats what I did cuz the operator told me so.

To each is a goal to which God turns him; then strive together (as in a race) Towards all that is good.

Wheresoever ye are, God will bring you Together. For God Hath power over all things.

I thought the stress was nearly over, but guess not. My grandmother passed away this morning. We knew it was coming soon we just had hoped she would hang on until my sister got here with her daughter who was born on the 14th. She named her Maya which means grandmother. :crying:

Dear FFFF's,

As we speak of RFE's, this is what I found on VJ... The Stupid RFE Thread

If anyone wants to share personal experience, I'm sure everybody will be glad to read this thread and try to avoid these RFE's...

I couldn't get the link to work. Can you do it again? I could stand to see some things that were more stupid than mine.

 , sorry... :goofy: Here is the link: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...153307&st=0

Hope it'd work this time

Oh dear, I'm so sorry about your grandma. Please, accept my deep condolences that I give to you and your family.

In Bulgaria we have a saying, it's like superstition, that people should never name their kids after a dead person. But when you name them after someone close, and this person dies later, their soul stays with the person who was named after them. So, I hope your grandma's soul will stay with Maya and will be her angel and guardian  May God bless all your family!

Oh Girly, I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Please accept my deepest condolences.

As sad as this news was to hear, at the same time it made me think...

We are all joyous about little Sofia's arrival, saddened by Girly's loss, we offer advices, we seek comfort in one another... call me crazy but I am getting attached to all of you guys and have this incredible feeling of belonging ... It's like we're all in this together...

I hope we don't lose touch once the visas are in hand. I am incredibly thankful for all your answers you have given me so far and hope to know you long into the future.

Take care ya'll

Thank y'all for the thoughts, prayers and condolences, I really appreciate them. My dad and uncle have decided to not have any service at all, in fact only my uncle and his wife will be spreading her ashes. I am quite hurt over it but nothing I can do.
