molly is a cute name

The girl already has a name - Mochachino ;)

We're looking for a boy name dear

First name I thought of is Chocolino. It's a name of baby food I used to love when I was little, made with chocolate as the name suggests.

And Choco kinda goes with Mocha, you almost have a Starbuck's theme going :) Their middle names can be Latte

I am sorry, I am just really craving Starbuck's right now...

Oh no.......I think I may have made a few mistakes with my husbands ds230 that (oh god I hope not) we may have to pay for by rfe or something much worse  ..................can someone please tell me if im okay or not?

First things first......ive been reading on these forums and by some of the posts ive read im getting the feeling that there should have been some sort of cover letter or cover sheet with the ds230......i didnt send any!

Secondly, Ive been reading that alot of people sent copies of all of their important original docs rather than any originals.....like birth certificates and marriage certificates and the likes??? Ive also read especially in the guides that if you dont send the originals youll get an rfe! Now that I have sent the originals of everything plus a copy of each i am beginning to fear whether Iwill get the orginals back or not? How will that work out..........will they give me back my husbands original docs??? If so, how will they go about doing so.....will they mail it back to him or will we be picking them up at interview........im asking because i know that we will be needing these originals for interview time? What should i do then, should i call nvc and request my originals back when they're done or what???

Here is what I sent in ds230?

ds230 forms part 1 signed only, with 4 passport sized photos of husband paper clipped to the front. All pages of ds230 with nvc case number written at thetop.

Police certificate, original and a b/w photocopy

birth certificate long version, in cut-and removable plastic cover to protect it from further damage in the mailing process...it was in the most pathetic condition.....so sad really. also sent a b/w photocopy.

short birth certificate from UAE (where husband was born). plus a b/w photocopy.

original urdu marriage certificate plus a certified and attested for colored photocopy.

translated mariage certificate certified and attested for with a gold sticker stating that it is court attested. plus a b/w photocopy.

and one...or two, i cant remember right now...........b/w photocopies of passport biographic data pages.

I completely forgot about any type of cover sheet...or barcode or anything toprove i payed the fees or show whos case this is. i assumed that was the ds230's job......now i am worried that i may have messed up. What do i do????Do you guys think i'll be okay or what?

I will be calling nvc to check avr whetherthey have started reviewing my ds230 yet or not......they got it on the 13th and it is the 17th today.....so they shouldhave.

please....anyone...carlish...someone please tell me have a really screwed up or am i just being paranoid!!!! (plz god dont letit be the latter!!!)

About the documents I sent originals too and is myunderstandment that NVC sends all that to the consulate and that's when you get them back (I hope so)

Now about the cover sheet I used the one they sent me by email, I payed by mail instead of online so it may be different, because they sent me a file with instructions and a cover sheet with the bar code for both affidavit of support and ds230. ANd in both it said that if you didn't put the cover sheet the process could be delayed, but maybe since you put your NVC number in the top of the DS230 it won't affect you too much.

I wish you the best of lucks and I hope it doesn't affect you.

Well I don't think that I got any sort of barcode in the mail or email. only barcode i remember is the aos one.....i dont remember there being one for the ds230....though i may be wrong, hopefully not.

I just called nvc to check the avr and it said they received my ds230 on the 15th but will be waiting for my aos documents before they begin reveiwing anything from the ds230.......that is pretty lame. as i was hoping to get at least a little bit of time with sending the biographic stuff.......the aos is still going to take upto 2-3 weeks for me so Iguess theyjustwont be reveiwing anything till i send that then. oh well.........and i thought i would be able to save some time with the reveiwing of my ds230.....

im still worried about the cover letter and bar codes and the likes????? anymore suggestions.

it said so in the lingche guide...?? 4 passport photos...2 for nvc 2 for medical and anyways i can get 2 more for the medical if we end up needing them......I was double guessing myself on this one so i went with more is best as at least it can't cause any rfe's......though im pretty sure ill be getting one anyways now, not for the photos though.....for being in a hurry and screwing up big time!

I just checked the immigrantvisas.state.gov site a few minutes ago and read that if i didnt send the cover sheet with the IV packet then it may delay processing...meaning rfe! Since i completely blanked on this part.........and forgot to do that I officially screwed myself over completely...........but now that i know this, do you guys think that if i mailed it now could i possibly save myself from getting that rfe and waiting for the checklist and whatnot? if i do mail just the cover sheet to them how will they know that it goes with my husbands other packet? Maybe i should wait for them to catch the rfe and send the checklist so that i can send them the checklist with the cover sheet so they can recognize it.......but that will take waaaay too long. They said on the avr that they will only begin reviewing and processing the IV packet once they have recieved the aos packet.....and that could take upto a month even........I really don't see the sense in waiting so long for something I can do right now......but what would be the point to mail it to them if they wouldnt have a clue about it or what to do with it?

ahhhhh jeez!!!!! This is a lesson for all future nvc journeyers........save your butts by being well prepared waaaay ahead of time.....and don't confuse yourself with things you read on the forums...always believe the guides and shortcuts....and if all else fails.....do as carlish says! That always seems to work out pretty well. lol.

First of all relax... you're on the right track except you should have included the cover sheet as a proof that the DS-230 fee was paid. But if the AVR said they received it already, you should be fine. NVC can just check against their system if you paid the fee, and since you did, they should have no problems processing and reviewing your DS-230.

You can send the AOS whenever you're ready. You will likely get a false RFE as soon as they finished reviewing your DS-230 package.

okay i have been trying to get the coversheet from the site but it won't let me.......i am trying to email it to my email address that i gave when i paid the bills but for some reason it keeps giving this error:

Ok y'all I need some baby goat naming help. We have triplets, two boys and one girl. The girl is a caramel color so we decided to call her Mochachino. One of the boys has three heart designs on his back so we thought to use something with hearts for his name. Valentine was one suggestion, then when I was feeding him I thought, Valentino. So we have Mochachino and Valentino, since they have names ending in "ino" we want to keep the theme going. One of my friends suggested Al Pacino but not too sure I like that one. Anyone have any other "ino" name suggestions?

Haha! That was so cute! LOL

As for the other boy's name, hmmm, what about Chiquino?

Hi FFFF's,

I have something to ask. May be it's a stupid question but we're trying to find a solution before we start with filing the NVC docs

I tried to find a savable copy of DS-3032 and DS-230 so I can fill them in and save them (and e-mail) them to my husband. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any DS-230 that I could fill in and save and print later. Also, I wasn't able to paste the bar code on the DS-3032 with my Adobe, neither with Foxit. Could someone tell me how did you manage your forms?

Thanks in advance for your help :)

Me again...

Never mind about DS-230, I downloaded a plug-in for Foxit, and I am able to save it now.

The only thing that I still can not do is the bar code for DS-3032... :help:

I printed the bar code, used actual scissors and real glue and cut & paste it to the form :D :D

I would have LOVED to have that plug-in thing you had for the DS-230, we ended up printing out the blank and using pen and ink :) so OLD SCHOOL LOL!

Me again...

What about the DS-3032 that will be sent via e-mail? I'm confused now

When they send it to us, will it have a bar code as well? If YES, then wouldn't it be a mistake to have 2 different bar codes? If NO, then will they accept it only because it will be sent through my e-mail?

As about the Foxit Reader Program, I downloaded and installed all possible plug-ins and it finally worked. It still doesn't show you with them any option to save the file, but when you are about to close the file and you get a message if you wanna save changes, you simply click yes, and boom... changes saved ;)

:help: Thanks for advices

Ok y'all I need some baby goat naming help. We have triplets, two boys and one girl. The girl is a caramel color so we decided to call her Mochachino. One of the boys has three heart designs on his back so we thought to use something with hearts for his name. Valentine was one suggestion, then when I was feeding him I thought, Valentino. So we have Mochachino and Valentino, since they have names ending in "ino" we want to keep the theme going. One of my friends suggested Al Pacino but not too sure I like that one. Anyone have any other "ino" name suggestions?

Arlequino, Musollino, Munchino... haha, the last one is almost (Muncho) the name of one of my grandma's goats she used to have years ago...

The DS-3032 that you will get in the email will be bar-coded. You can either print and send this hardcopy or send it via email (there's an email template in this thread was posted before).

I think Whidbey is talking about having her husband fill out the DS-3032 ahead of time without the bar-code and later cutting and pasting it to the form after she received the bar-coded version in the email.

If you're having problems, call NVC tomorrow and let them know that you can't print the bar-coded cover sheet.

Thats what i thought but when i called today the avr told me that they had received my ds230 on the 15th 2 days ago and are now waiting for the aos packet and that they will not be processing the biographical data information untill they receive the aos bill or aos packet. My aos bill is still listed as paid on the site so obviously they are referring to my missing aos packet. The way the avr said it it sounds like they wont be going anywhere with my case untill that aos stuff isnt taken care of......do you really think they will start reviewing my iv stuff? do you or anyone know of any instance that theyhave gone ahead and done this? i sure hope so because that would really give me so much more hope. I will call and check the avr tomorrow once more......and maybe even talk to an operator to see what they have to say.

I'm quite relieved(as usual) to read what you have to say carlish.....i really do hope that the cover sheet isnt that necessary. that would be great.......amazing......THE BEST IN FACT!. lol.

Don't worry, they will process and review the DS-230 even without the AOS package. AVR is simply stating that they're waiting for the AOS package because it's showing in their system that the AOS fee has been paid. NVC cannot complete the processing of your case till they get the AOS package along with the DS-230 package.
