Chrissy,

May I just say how much I love your girl's name Sofia, sounds so sophisticated and refined, with just a punch of character... :)

God help my hubster and me, we still cannot agree on names. He wants to name our boy (should we be blessed with one) Rashad  cause it was his father's name. Cannot tell you how much I dislike the name, plus I don't wanna name my precious boys after anyone in the family who died and whose loss we are still mourning...

I like Adam.

Who chose little Sofia's name and how long did the negotiations last ? :)

Thanks! We just kept tossing around names and we could never agree on anything. We just knew that we wanted something Italian. I read that Sophia (with a -ph) is a really popular name now and thought that the Italian/Greek alternative (with an -f) was really cute, but I was really nervous to ask for my husband's opinion (because we really could not agree on anything). When I asked him what he thought of the name, he loved it and that was it! I would say it was about 2 or 3 months of negotiations... we didn't really start talking about names until I was about 5 months pregnant (and we knew for sure that it was a girl).

Wow, so it's tomorrow? Are you nervous? I remember being really nervous (I was induced also) but I remember the fact that I wanted this child to finally get out of my body so much that the nervousness was somewhat tempered. Gosh, I'm so excited for you! I'm sure you've heard it a million times, but your life will never be the same... in a good way. :luv:

WhidbeyGirl, I'm so glad to hear all went well with your son's surgery. Triplets? I assume you're talking about the goat?

Oh what a nightmare!

Called the AVR this morning and got the dreaded RFE message regarding my DS 230.

I've called NVC just now and spoken to an operator who has said that I hadn't sent the "long" version of my birth certificate. I actually have sent the Certified Long Version. I've explained this to her and she has referred it to a supervisor and said call back in 10-15 days. :crying::crying::crying:

I wonder how long this will take?? The good news is that the remainder of the DS 230 package must have been OK.

Trying to look on the bright side here .

I had a similar problem with my DS 230. I got the rfe msg last friday and operator told me that I did not send my original marriage certificate. So, I researched and found out that according to them, an original marriage certificate is in country's native language, and mine was in English. So, I called them back, and explained them that I had my original marriage certificate made in English because I knew I would be applying for my wife's immigration. So, they sent it to supervisor, and today it was confirmed that they accepted it. It took them two days for the whole review. So, I hope its the same for you. Hopefully, everything will be resolved in the next couple of days for you.

Thanks Remo28

I'm so glad yours was sorted out. Haven't heard anything yet - it went to the supervisor on Tuesday 12th so if they are as fast for me as they were for you, I might hear something soon.

I have put together a package, showing my "Short" original version of my birth certificate together with another Certified copy of my "long" version so that they can see the comparison. I've also spoken to Her Majesties General Register Office this morning and they are sending me an email of confirmation that the Certified Long Copies, come in A4 format. This is what I believe is causing the confusion.

I think I might send this today by DHL which I hope will clarify the situation.

Hopefully it will get resolved soon.

Best wishes to everyone!
