I was just checking the stats for the US Embassy in Manila. It's looking that we may get an early July interview based on it. Someone who got their cases completed in third week of April scored a late June interviews.

July is fine by us. I just hope we'll get a confirmation from NVC already. The wait is killing me.

I'm leaving for the Philippines in 2 weeks to visit my dear hubby. My focus is on that right now. I can't wait to see and be with him again. It's been almost 4 months since the last time we saw each other.

No, I didn't. We have a travel agent. My family gets our tickets from her everytime we visit the Philippines. My ticket was $1045. It's not bad considering it's peak season right now.

yes that isnt bad, i checked online and the prices range from 1,300 to 1450 in july, i just hope the dont go up higher! could i get that travel agents contact info in case they might have something lower when i purchase my ticket? not right now but for the future...

CONGRATULATIONS TO EVERYONE WHO GOT CASE COMPLETION AT NVC.

Qucik question about I-864. When they ask for household size, they say DO NOT COUNT ANYONE TWICE, So first it says. YOU AND THE PERSON YOU ARE SPONSERING AND THAT IS 2, SO THEN , What should I put below when they ask for spouse, Should I put 0 or leave it blank??? They ask to count all lines, so I think I have to put something!!! Please Reply!!!!!

Do not leave anything blank when filling out the I-864 and DS-230.

Enter "0" in "c. If you are currently married, enter "1" for your spouse."

So, if I enter 1, then, when I add those lines, the total is goona be 3, which is not correct. Our household size is 2(me and my wife).. I am getting confused here, Plesae help!!!!!!

The AVR was finally updated this morning... it has the message about receiving the RFE checklist on May 7, 2009. So, I guess it has been scanned in and is in the process of being reviewed... I am really hoping for a case complete sometime next week so that we can get an interview sometime in June (maybe even later this month if we are really lucky and Naples isn't very busy). My doctor wants to induce me next week, so Ben won't be here either way... but the sooner he can get here after Sofia is born... the better!

Why are they inducing you? Most doctors wait until you're a week overdue before inducing unless there's a medical reason. The full moon is tomorrow so you may not have to wait until Tuesday though

Well I will be 40 weeks on Monday. I will see my doctor on Tuesday and if she hasn't come on her own by then, we will schedule a time to be induced... which will be sometime next week. She doesn't want me to go past 41 weeks because I have had several ultrasounds that have confirmed she is fully developed and breathing on her own. Since she is my first, they don't want the delivery to be any harder than it has to be... (they estimated her to be 6lbs. and 5oz. at 36 weeks), so if I went much longer past 40 weeks, she could be over 9 lbs. and nearly impossible for me to deliver.

But, maybe it will happen before Tuesday and we won't have to schedule an induction. That would be the best situation.

... I am hoping we get an early interview, too... not just because of the baby, but also because I haven't seen my husband since December 18. It is the longest we have gone without seeing each other, but at least we know that the next time we see each other neither one of us will have to take a plane home shortly thereafter .

1. this is my first ever real job in the united states (been working for 10 months now) so i have just filed my one and only tax return for the year of 2008 because i started in august 2008. will this cause a problem?

do i leave the year 2007, 2006 blank? ... this is for question number 25 on the I - 864

For your first question, just include a letter with the I-864 as to why you did not file taxes in 2006 and 2007.

And, again, for the second question... just put a 0 for part c because you already included your husband in part a (line 10)... this is what I did and it was fine... just indicate next to the question that you are not counting your husband in part c because you already counted him in part a (and it clearly states not to count anyone twice). Line g is only if you are submitting an I-864A, so unless you are doing that, just put a 0 there too (even if you live with other people).

If you are not counting your son, then your household size should be 2.

That is what I think.

We used these 2 websites the past few months.

Also, there is a trick in booking a plane ticket - booking a ticket for a tuesday departure is always cheaper I know that from friends dealing with tickets, and when we bought tickets last time, the difference was about a $100 per ticket!!!

For my Delta flights, first I go to Delta and find the cheapest flights for the days I want to travel and include 3 days before and 3 days after. Usually there are several choices for each day at the same base rate - BUT for some reason some of the flight have more fees on them, so then I get go to Orbitz and put in the days Delta said were the cheapest and Orbitz then shows me the cheapest flight numbers - then I go back to Delta and use those flight numbers. It's always cheaper booking with the airline directly if you are only using one airline, besides you earn miles and free flights.
