Hi to all! I have been reading this site since last week or maybe more than that, tried to signed up but always getting an error msg. Since I really wanted to be a member of VJ.com, I tried to signed up again 2days ago and I was surprise that it went well. I am under K1 petition, sent our I-129F last feb.12,2009. Really thought that petitioned visa takes a long time. My fiance & I were very glad that our case having a speedy stressfree progress, so far. When I had my Medical exam @SLMCEC (1st day-04/30 , 2nd day-05/04) I felt so worried coz I havent had any health check up for a couple of years. Thanks God I did not encountered any prob. that could possibly cause us delay. Right now, just waiting for May 21- my consul interview day. Busy working & gathering required documents for the interview. I want to stay positive and relax (too much worries will cause paranoia) as much as possible. My fiance worked so hard for our documents, now my turn hehe. ONE LAST STEP--MUST PASS THE INTERVIEW. Goodluck to all of us who still waiting for our interview day to come LET US BRING OUR HEART together with our complete documents. And congrats to those already done with their VISA JOURNEY.

Fate put us together; guided our love ever since. It is our duty to protect, value and treated our love with so much care. LOVE TRULY, DEEPLY and FAIRLY!

I have question related with I-864 -

Does the person living in the same household co-sponser - needs to fill up the I-864A only or both I-864 AND I-864A as well.

I got confused reading at US Embassy website that says that co sponder needs to fill I-864A and there is no mention of I-864.

Thanks and good luck to all

i am so glad to be off tonight to take a breath (not really...cause ill end up studying all night anyway)...have another question...ive read somewhere that sometimes they do AP's at NVC, what are the causes for this?

Typically additional background checks.

I am anticipating getting one because Senegal is a Muslim county and even though he is Christian they will want to do more searching, he was born & raised in Nigeria so they will want to do more searching and since he's black and I'm white they will want do do more searching.

this will totally suck

That sucks and totally unfair.

It's really saddening that this sort of things still happen today. :(

Good morning everyone,

I called the AVR this morning and the message said:

"The NVC has received the checklist letter response on 6th May ..." This is referring to our DS 230. I know via an operator that it was delivered on 4th May and it showed up on their system on 5th May.

Does the fact that the AVR says 6th May mean that someone has picked up the file and is reviewing it??

I sure hope so and am praying there isn't an RFE!!!

Yes. It means the review of your package begins.

Expect to get your case done by mid-next week. Goodluck! :star:

Do not leave anything blank when filling out the I-864 and DS-230.

Enter "0" in "c. If you are currently married, enter "1" for your spouse."

So, if I enter 1, then, when I add those lines, the total is goona be 3, which is not correct. Our household size is 2(me and my wife).. I am getting confused here, Plesae help!!!!!!

This is how you should fill out PART 5, Q21, of the I-864.

21. Your Household Size - DO NOT COUNT ANYONE TWICE

Persons you are sponsoring in this affidavit:

a. Enter the number you entered on line 10. -----------------ENTER 1

Persons NOT sponsored in this affidavit:

b. Yourself. -------------------ENTER 1

c. If you are currently married, enter "1" for your spouse. -----------ENTER 0

The total household size is 2.
