It'll be a race who will be first complete - will it be kevinbui or will it be carlish.

I'm guessing kevinbui - only 'cos he got his login failed noticed earlier.

So, I am still living with my parents, and the plan is to get an apartment shortly before husband arrives. Don't wanna get one now and have to pay the rent :)

What is your living situation? On your own, roommates, with family,..?

I am starting to freak out a little about how we will afford everything on one salary until the husband finds a job. That, and I love shopping for clothes too much. Like right now I KNOW I should be the adult and I am supposed to save every penny, but I am so much under stress that I go into these blackout modes where I just buy random clothes. I swear most of the time I am signing the credit card slip and I am thinking what the hell just happened here, I have a family to support now, why did I just buy these shoes? :D

I am like so embarrassed how irresponsibly I am behaving, and I cannot stop. It's the stress!!!!!

I'm not big on shopping, so I can't entirely relate, but I do think you need to give yourself a break. This process is STRESSFUL! Sometimes you just have to do something for yourself to make yourself feel a little bit better. Don't even worry about it! If shoes make you happy, then just relax and enjoy the shoes! :) In moderation, I guess.

My living situation is not ideal right now either. I moved back home to save money, so I'm living with my Mom and my aunt. I totally appreciate the fact that they're letting me stay here without paying rent or bills, and I know that I'm lucky for that, but they really drive me nuts sometimes. It sucks to have no privacy. I feel like I'm a kid again, but not in a good way. I'm totally thankful that they're helping me out like this, and I know I'll miss them a lot when I move away, but right now they are driving me batty.

I'm just really, really looking forward to Thursday. My husband is coming to visit, and we're gonna get out of town for a few days and just enjoy each other's company. Then on Sunday we'll meet up with my Mom and some other family members for brunch to celebrate my last Mother's Day in Canada. It should be a lot of fun.

i know how you feel Holliday, i live with my bro in law and my sister and they drive me crazy! i didnt even tell them i peitioned my hubby and we already got approved...hang in there...

That was the error message that I got when I tried to log onto the NVC Website. Is that mean my case is almost complete? Or it's already complete? I don't want to get my hopes up, but maybe when I call NVC tomorrow morning, I will hear the magic words from the AVR. Please, please, please.

Yay Carlish, I am so excited for you!!!!

It looks like you are going to be the first one of the FFFF's to get the "Case Complete" and hopefully you bring some of that good luck/fortune to the rest of us!!

The I-864 package is just the cover sheet you got as an email.

Dang mail system! Hate it when they lose stuff.

You can pay now or you can pay later doesn't matter. You have 1 year to make the payment and send in the package. I'm waiting just because I'd rather earn a little bit of interest on the $400 sitting in my bank than give it to the government to spend frivously.

oh no, i can still log into my visa site. congrats Carlish, that means your case will probably be complete today!

no, the old address is fine. i sent it to the old address even when i was aware that there was a new one. i spoke to an operator and she recommend still using the old one because the new one is just a storage room and it will get transfer back to the NVC. so its faster to mail to the old address

OMG. It's official! Our case is completed as of today. It's confirmed by the operator!!

We are not going to get a May interview, but there's a possibility that they can give us a June interview. It depends if the Embassy in Manila still has capacity to accommodate a slot for us. If not, early July is fine with us too. Anyway, we will find out for sure in the next few days. The operator said that they normally schedule interviews during the 2nd week of the month. That's next week already. :star:

I'd like to thank you guys for your support, guidance, and encouragement. You made things so much easier when everything seemed so unbearable at times. It has been a short but stressful journey. I lost weight and sleep during this process. I was so worried sick that this journey would never end. But God's will make everything possible. Thank you, thank you so much. You have no idea how happy my husband and I right now. We're almost there. We can almost feel and touch the light at the end of the tunnel. We can't wait to get out of the tunnel completely and enjoy the sun.

So I'm rooting for all of you to be where we are. I hope and pray that you will get your cases completed soon as well. We have gone through this journey together. I will not be completely happy till I know you guys are with your spouses too.

Hang in there guys! You are almost there too! God bless us all! :star:

this is for carlish: did your husband get local police clearances in all the places he lived after the age of 16? even if he lived there for less than 6 months...because it says: NOTE2: Police Certificate is required for any places which beneficiary has lived longer than twelve (12) months in any other country other than country of citizenship, after age of 16 on ling che and there is this one province where my husband lived for about 6 months in the philippines and we were wondering if he has to travel to that province to get a local police clearance? thank you...

My hubby got police clearances in all the addresses he listed in the DS-230 just to be safe. He's been living in his current address for only 5 months, and we got clearance from that local police station as well.

thank you carlish! my husband wont be too pleased about this, he hates the hot weather in the provinces...anyway thanks again!

Are you born in the Philippines? If you are, your husband will need a copy of your birth certificate from NSO. Make sure to have that during his interview at the US Embassy in Manila.

:star:

:star:

Oh my Gooooooooooood!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so happy for youuuuuuuuu!!!

I don't know what to say, I feel like I got approved or something and now I am at loss for words:)

You have been so great to all of us offering advice as we lag behind you in the process :) and you always answered all my concerns.

I feel some kind of weird connection to you :) because we had dates so close together when we first started, so I would check my case first and then when there would be no update I would come here and check your timeline :)))) so I am so so happy now! :)

God bless you and I hope things continue go great for you from here on now.
