Taj - first off you don't submit the DS230 via email it's the DS3032 the choice of agent. AND from what others have been saying you will need to ALSO send in the the hard copy.

When the AVR system states that you have an NVC case number call and speak to an operator (phone number then 1 and then 5) he/she will automatically ask for your emails. A few days later you will receive the AOS (I-864) bill and the DS3032 hard copy with the bar code via email.

As far as your list. All I see is the information for the filing the IV packet. You will also need to submit the I-864 packet with all your financial information and if you are using a sponsor all their financial info.

CONGRATS ANI!!!!

thank you (although i meant to say the choice of agent visa email!)! i am learning alot! will try everyday from now on for the NVC number, no luck today and no NAO2 in the mail either...tommorow's another day!

as for my packet ( the one from me:) i am also in the process of putting the following:

* W-2s and/or 1099s (i only have my w2 and when i asked my cousin tax lawyer to do it for me she cut one of the squares out at the bottom and gave me the rest of the paper...do i photocopy this?)

* 1040 from most recent tax year (its coming in the mail also from my cousin tax lawyer)

* Pay stubs for current year (6 months should do) (have been compilling them since i started work)

* Employment letter showing your income and position. (will have to ask another copy from the HR department because my old copy is stained with coffee...whoops)

and most importantly: currently reading the I-864 for me to fill up.

anything else?

Your good to go. Photocopies of 1040, 1099, and W-2 are fine.

* Last 3 years Tax transcripts, W-2 and/or 1099 (any source of income) OPTIONAL ... saw this at ling che shortcut...i have no idea what a 1099 is and if i have to get it? like i said i have my w2 and 1040 but my w2 was cut (one of the squares at the bottom is missing, is that okay?)

If you don't know what a 1099 is then you don't get one. It's given for income/winnings that are not taxed. For example - 2 years ago I won prizes worth $850 from my radio station so they sent me a 1099 and I had to pay taxes on it. Another is I am a Tool Consultant for Tomboy Tools and I make commissions. I am not employed by Tomboy Tools, I run my own business so the commissions I earn they don't take taxes out of. I also got this type when I delivered newspapers.

hey guys, new information! try logging in to your NVC payment website...anyone having problems logging in? if so, it means your case is very close or already complete.

I've read about that too. Unfortunately, I can still log on. Bummer!!

That's good news for kevinbui!!!! Will he be the first FFFF to complete????

Alright... I have a question.

My RFE package arrived at NVC this morning, so I called the AVR at lunch to see if (by some crazy miracle) it had already been scanned into the system.

Of course it hadn't been processed yet. But, instead of the RFE message from April 24 (which was the police certificate)... there was an RFE message from April 28. What is that all about?? I just talked to someone yesterday and she said that the only thing they were waiting for was the police certificate and then the case would be complete.

Could this just be a false RFE because I didn't return the package right away??

I am sort of freaking out here.

Hi Chrissy. I got the same RFE after I returned the checklist package. It was a false RFE. Yours was generated because they finished reviewing your AOS package and are now reminding you that you need to submit the PCC in order for them to continue processing your case.

Okay, thanks Carlish. I really really hope it is just a false RFE. I guess I will call later tonight just to make sure... but I am kind of scared and don't really want to know.

I just have to keep my fingers crossed!

And congrats to all of the recent NOA2's!! Now the fun part begins :star:

I agree with Carlish here (as usual! :)) With my false RFE, the AVR said they mailed a letter on April 24th. Then on April 28th it said they mailed a letter April 28th, and that's when I got the email saying they were just waiting for the DS-230 to be returned. On April 30th, the AVR said that NVC 'has received the checklist response' or something like that. So I'd expect you'll get the same message in a day or two.

My hubby got police clearances in all the addresses he listed in the DS-230 just to be safe. He's been living in his current address for only 5 months, and we got clearance from that local police station as well.

I wasn't here for one day and already I missed so much :)

It was a long read to catch up...

Congrats to everyone who got approved and to all of you whose RFEs ended up being false ones.

Nothing new to report on my end. Still waiting on paperwork from hubby. In the meantime, I did a little shopping, since we are starting from ground zero really, we don't have anything :) so I was out buying pots and pans, and small appliances and stuff like that :) I loved it :)

I went to look at some apartments today, so I wasn't too happy about the prices. Unfortunately I have good taste and high standards, so it turns out that I cannot afford anything that really suits my taste buds :)

My mom and sister are so sweet, they keep "surprising" me with small gifts for the apartment as well. Like yesterday I walked into my room and my mom bought me one of those 11-piece sets of pots and pans from Paula Dean collection and she put it on my dresser. I was like mom you know I hate Paula Dean, why would you do that? She said well you don't cook either, so you won't use it anyway, who cares :)

Gotta love her for that, 'cause it's so true :)

I am what you would call domestically challenged...

So, I am still living with my parents, and the plan is to get an apartment shortly before husband arrives. Don't wanna get one now and have to pay the rent :)

What is your living situation? On your own, roommates, with family,..?

I am starting to freak out a little about how we will afford everything on one salary until the husband finds a job. That, and I love shopping for clothes too much. Like right now I KNOW I should be the adult and I am supposed to save every penny, but I am so much under stress that I go into these blackout modes where I just buy random clothes. I swear most of the time I am signing the credit card slip and I am thinking what the hell just happened here, I have a family to support now, why did I just buy these shoes? :D

I am like so embarrassed how irresponsibly I am behaving, and I cannot stop. It's the stress!!!!!

I'm not big on shopping, so I can't entirely relate, but I do think you need to give yourself a break. This process is STRESSFUL! Sometimes you just have to do something for yourself to make yourself feel a little bit better. Don't even worry about it! If shoes make you happy, then just relax and enjoy the shoes! :) In moderation, I guess.

My living situation is not ideal right now either. I moved back home to save money, so I'm living with my Mom and my aunt. I totally appreciate the fact that they're letting me stay here without paying rent or bills, and I know that I'm lucky for that, but they really drive me nuts sometimes. It sucks to have no privacy. I feel like I'm a kid again, but not in a good way. I'm totally thankful that they're helping me out like this, and I know I'll miss them a lot when I move away, but right now they are driving me batty.

I'm just really, really looking forward to Thursday. My husband is coming to visit, and we're gonna get out of town for a few days and just enjoy each other's company. Then on Sunday we'll meet up with my Mom and some other family members for brunch to celebrate my last Mother's Day in Canada. It should be a lot of fun.

That was the error message that I got when I tried to log onto the NVC Website. Is that mean my case is almost complete? Or it's already complete? I don't want to get my hopes up, but maybe when I call NVC tomorrow morning, I will hear the magic words from the AVR. Please, please, please.

Oh my God, Carlish, that must be it!!!!!!!!! I am so happy for you girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Keeping you in my prayers tonight ;)

Oh, I am so happy for you that your husband is coming to visit you (and a little jealous :))

I feel the same way about my family, I appreciate that they are trying to help me bless their hearts, but they are driving me up the wall sometimes!

It's completely unnatural for a grown as* woman to be living with her parents, I guess :), because every little thing bugs us about each other, and as sad as I am to leave mommy and daddy :) I can't wait to get out. But yeah that feeling of guilt is also present ...

I just got off the phone with one of my friends/coworkers and he just told me about an amazing new development, and apartments are exactly what I am looking for but for half the price of what you would expect them to be, so I am super excited to go and view them on Friday!

Well, you have a great, great getaway with your hubby and come back to tell us all about it, you know how it is, we get to live through each others' lives here almost :) Have fun!
