(Am I crazy, or is Missouri not on this list? The abbreviation for Missouri is MO, isn't it?)

If you're in Missouri, I have no idea where your package is going. Which PO Box # did you address it to?

let's start preparing for the NVC process! never too early to start

i asked my husband to prepare the following:

1. birth certificate from all the places he has lived for more than 6 months after the age of 16

2. vaccination records

3. his birth certificate

what else?

hi everyone, hang in there, i was so worried too before but when i saw that they cashed my check then i sorta felt relieved and when i saw their two touches i was so happy too. but no news as of last week...last touch was feb 18, 2009...well life must go oon and we must all continue to wait patiently.

and in the meantine im fixing up the documents needed for the taxt returns. i have my W2 form and i am asking my husband to sign his w7 and get me a notarized copy of his passport...i think that is all the requirements needed so he can get a ITIN.

looks like VSC is fastening up the pace...i hope the same goes for all of us here...

My check has still not been cashed, I'll give it a couple more days.

I am gathering as much as I can in preparation for NVC. I've also prepared my w-7s for my wife and kids. I had got all pertaining docs notarized and I have power of attorney to sign my wife's w-7. Hopefully the IRS will accept it!

I'll be taking my tax stuff to the IRS tomorrow at lunch time, we'll see how it goes!

EKLONDON...just wanna double check the requirements for filing the taxes...

1. w7 completed form with signature

2. notarized copy of passport

3. certified true copy of passport (not sure about this one)

also my son is 17 months old... but i did not claim him on my taxes...just my husband...

If you submit an original valid passport (or a notarized or certified copy of a valid passport), you do not need to submit any other documents.

About your Son, I would still fill out a w-7, if you don't have a passport for him you will need to use 2 other docs listed on the w7 instructions. found on page three http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/fw7.pdf

I still have not received the NOA1. I'm starting to think that maybe it got lost in the mail ..... is there any way that I can find out if the NOA1 was mailed out to me?

The waiting is killing me! The only thing that keeps sane is the fact that I'm going to visit my honey in the Philippines this coming May. Being away from him is just so hard. I miss him terribly.

I just went to the local IRS office to file my taxes and they tell me I did it all wrong! Lovely

They advised they need original Passports for the W7s, they told me that I have to file both my Canadian 2008 taxes and my US Taxes together?

(Sorry just needed to vent)

Just called the number I was given and they just advised even being a PR of Canada (lived there since '82) that I should have filed my taxes with the IRS

hmmm....it's been a week since they received my packet.....wonder if they cashed my money order or not. Gosh it feels like time is going by so slow waiting for my noa1! I just wish it would come already so I could get some relief.

hi ek london...this is my first real job that i am handling and so my first real tax filing!...did other stuff about 5 years in the united states but it was only for about 3, 4 months of being a waitress and working in a bookstore so i did not bother to file my taxes that time. anyway, i was also just a student when i was living in the philippines and never really worked there either.

my cousin who is a tax lawyer is fixing up my tax situation but i will ask her again about doing a w7 for my son.

carlish...i plan to visit my son and husband around june (praying very hard to GOD to allow this)...did you purchase tickets already? is it peak season in may/june or off - peak? where is yous spouse from in the philippines?
