Hi everyone,

Wanted to stop by and say hello. Been here in Virginia for nearly two months now and am settling in slowly.

Got my green card (although no-one told me it wasn't green  ). However the social security card/number never showed up, so much for completing that part of the DS 230! Going to the social security office on monday which is 30 miles away and will be able to apply for it in person then. From what I've read here, it should be issued fairly shortly afterwards.

Have got a job interview on Tuesday - wish me luck!!

Best wishes to all - happy for your husband Whidbeygirl - he's done very well to get a job so soon.

Take care.

A construction job of all things - he's NEVER done that type of work at all - go figure!!! They paid him today for work through today, ain't that cool!!! Now we sit down and discuss finances - oh joy! Have kinda been puttin that discussion on the back burner since I got some money from my grandmothers life insurance, but it's nearly gone. So time to cinch up the belt a bit.

Hubby just got a call from the local speedex office(fedex/speedex in Sialkot) to bring his ID and come pick up his passport stamped with the visa!!!!!!!! OHHHH JOYYYY! LOL! THIS IS SO UNEXPECTED!. As I've been expecting Taj's to get hers before us.....but I had the lingering feeling in my mind that since we reside in Sialkot...a very minor city in Pakistan that we would have less of a wait with this AP.......but I still never could bring myself to believe that fact fully.....even now, I'm still not FULLY going to believe it until I see that visa stamped on my husbands passport!!!!!!!!! But I can't help but say it..........OHHH HOME SWEET HOME HERE I COME NEW YORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YEAAAAHHHH!

We've had the visa in hand for 15 hours now.....such an amazing feeling to be honest. We're going to go to the travel agent to ask about tickets on Monday....today is sunday (3:00 am actually....just barely sunday).

And yes Ani.....if only I could tell you how badly.....husband can actually "see" the baby and what he's doing now. Actually to my surprise he's quite thoroughly entertained by it and will sit there for long periods of time just staring and talking and getting kicked in the face (oh how he loves it now...lol, wait till the baby's out though I tell him and then getting kicks in the face might not be as fun anymore lol). I'm up all night long because of the serious cramps and false contractions I keep experiencing....and lately my blood pressure goes low...then too high very quickly and I've just given up trying to make it regular because it just doesn't stick. Also, had an amazing and fun 2nd trimester but now as I've begun my third......back to the can't eat and vomiting stage I thought I'd left behind ages ago.....not only that but the baby basically has begun controlling the positions and times in which I sit, stand and sleep.....if he doesn't like me standing he'll simply lodge himself right up there against my uterus making it impossible for me to stand straight...and if I'm sitting he'll crawl down really low near his "exit route" (lol) and make it really uncomfortable for me...and if I'm laying down....either side...he'll roll right over to whichever side my belly is touching the pillows or bed and actually attempt pushing or forcing me to lay in another position....I find this stuff so strange honestly......but all the same...only 80 some days more to go...fingers crossed.lol.

I had the BP issues too. Drink lots of water and lie on your left side, those are the things that helped me. I eventually did have to go onto medication, though with my 5th child (10th pregnancy).

Yea!!! It's about time we had someone else from this group get off of AP. BIG congrats!

I had the BP issues too with the fun and enjoyment of laying on my left side for 3 months of bed rest as medication couldn't control it. Then again, medication can't do much for an 11+ pound, 24 inch long baby laying on your aorta. lol Wow, only 80 days left? It's hard to believe it's been that long already. Wow. Enjoy your sleep now.
