HisGirl I pray you and all of our other Canadian FFFF's will receive a December Interview. I can't believe how long Montreal is taking, it's just RIDICULOUS!!!!!!

Hubby did ok at the interview - it was a group interview. One woman had recently been laid off from a different bank so she had a better chance of getting the job. It's ok though he just applied for another bank job that opened up and it's more hours. AND there is also an opening at the company my son works for installing wood, gas & electric stoves so something will come up soon, I'm not worried. We also got his welcome letter today WOO HOO!!! Hopefully that means his green card and ssn are not too far behind.

No, we just decided he's gonna come whether he passes or not, because this separation is tearing us apart from one another on many levels.

So, fingers crossed, hope things work out.

It's good to know your hubs got many options for jobs, hopefully you'll report good news soon

I'm still waiting, but have made plans to move the household items by truck (myself, in the beginning of November) At least I'll be able to see them again for a couple days. If we do or even don't get interviews in December, my wife and kids are going to "visit" me in the states until they do. I can't wait any longer.

Hey Kevin, good to hear from you! You should definitely go to the social security office. If she doesn't have her card after 2+ months, she's not getting it. It seems like lapses in the distribution of social security cards are happening all the time these days. We went to the office the same week my husband moved, applied for it there and had it in three days, so definitely go see them.

haha, did you tell her what people say about New England area: if you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes

as to the SSN card, I never received mine either, but as I have one from before, I even didn't bother to worry about it. But yeah, if she didn't receive hers till now, visit the local SS office

Any other updates from anyone? Come on folks, I have never seen this thread so dead as the past 2 months...
