ek, Chris and Ani, and Mumtaz: I also applied for an expedite. I called the NVC and asked what to do. They said to send an e-mail to "Supervisor Sue" with the details. I just detailed the situation (that I was pregnant and expected delivery date was May 11) and also attached a letter from my doctor. My doctor wrote a very passionate letter becasue she really wanted Ben to be here for the birth... it is a small practice, so we developed a very close relationship. She talked about how much strain and stress can be put on a pregnancy if the woman is anxious or worried and the fact that I was still working full-time and a part-time job on the weekends to support myself while my husband and I were apart. Anyway, all of this was to no avail. I never ever heard anything about the expedite. Everytime I called to speak to an operator, they confirmed that it was received just said it was being reviewed. One operator told me that it was sent to the consulate, who is in charge of making the final judgement. I tried contacting the embassy about it and they didn't know anything. After all of this, I just gave up on it because I was frustrated and due to have Sofia in just a few days. I realized my efforts were futile and just gave up. I hope you guys have better luck.

OK, so here is our story with our expedite request...

Hubby sent an e-mail on July 20th to NVC after speaking to a NVC supervisor on where and to whom to address the request:

 PI Supervisor Sue Expedite Request
I am asking for an expedite request. My case is complete at NVC
There is a very serious shortage of medical doctors here where i live.
It has taken me 3 years to get a primary care doctor for myself.
Most doctors will not talk to you. My wife is pregnant and is due in January.
My insurance plan will not cover her and she has school starting in September.
If I can get her back quickly there is a good chance that I can find a doctor, get insurance,
and she can finish her degree before the baby is born. If not, I'll learn how to deliver a baby myself.
I'm including some photos and some documents as well as a class schedule below.
I appreciate your time reading this (even if the answer is no)

Then, on July 27th we received an e-mail from NVC with the expedite request answer:

Good Day,
Your inquiry has been received at the National Visa Center (NVC). All documentation necessary to complete
the National Visa Center's processing has been received. As soon as an interview date has been scheduled, the designated representative
of this case (applicant, petitioner, or attorney) will be notified. The US Embassy or Consulate General may require additional documentation
at the time of the interview. The NVC has expedite procedures for applicants/petitioners with life or death medical emergencies.

If you wish to request a review for expedite, please submit medical documentation declaring a life or death medical emergency.
The request will be reviewed promptly.

Regards, DDC///National Visa Center///Written Inquiry Unit///Serco, Inc.

...and then on July 29th we received another e-mail with an interview date scheduled for September 15th

I'm pretty sure it was not due to the expedite request as I noticed other ppl on VJ got interview appointments for September this past week as well. So, NVC was also scheduling interview dates last week of July :star::thumbs:

Some other folks on VJ (beneficiary from Bulgaria as well) rescheduled their interview from Aug 20th to Aug 10th :) That gives me some hope I'll be able to reschedule mine for an earlier Sept date :innocent:

Anyway, wish everybody a happy week, good luck to everybody with their cases and will miss you guys (L)

for those of you who were aware I flew to Canada to throw my wife and kids a Going Away Party. Everything went Great! We had about 60 people attend and everyone had a great time. It was sad leaving them again and my son is taking it the hardest (he hates goodbyes). I asked him to help out with the little one and that he would be here soon. Put him in a golf camp to keep him busy.

No interview date as of yet. What we are looking at doing...

1. Once the interview date is scheduled, have them go to the medical and then bring them here to AZ until the Interview date as a 'visit'. We would have to keep them out of school until the interview passed.

2. Put them in a new school (in Canada) until all completed. New school because my oldest daughter doesn't want to have to say goodbye to her friends again!

My family and I had to go through that seminar also, it was just BS, there were brochures in there what to expect in the US, how to use dishwasher and toilet

Yes, my country is a small God forsaken place, but c'mon ... So that was kind of funny.

The funniest thing of all still stuck in my head is that the group of about 20 pple that were in the seminar we all had to sit around in circle and repeat out loud" "America is not a socialist country! America is not a socialist country!"

To this day, when my mom or dad complains about the poor health care regulations and such, we all burst out laughing and repeat in unison "America is not a socialist country!"

Thank you I got my NOA2 on 07/31/09 I got fed up about the process taking so long so I called the USCIS about 10:30 Friday morning and I spoke with someone there and she looked my case up and told me that they should be getting to my case in a few days and if I didnt hear anything within 36days to call back . So after the conversation my phone buzzed about 20 minutes later to let me know that I had a email message and to my suprise my 129f & 130 had been approved  I dont know what happened but I am glad it happened. I will ignore the 129 and just go with the cr1-130 petition, I will take about 1 month off from work and travel to Senegal for the interview . Thank you everyone for you advice this site has helped me alot, I just hope to fly threw NVC and hopefully be in Dakar by Sept.

My wife you are simply beautiful and perfect for mehttp://da.daisypath.com/w3wlm4.png

V - I don't hate him. Just don't think he's right for the job - BIG DIFFERENCE.

In case you two didn't see my FB post:

If Moses had to put the Ten Commandments through Congress today:

1. You shall have no other gods before Obama

2. Do not worship false idols, for we are a jealous Congress.

3. You shall not take any liberal name in vain (but conservatives are fair game!)

4. Remember tax day and keep it holy. You shall work 7 days a week because you'll need the extra money to cover the taxes we are adding to your income.

5.Honor your Senators and Representatives that you may live long on the earth (after all, we control your life)

6. You shall not kill....any bill that we, the democrats want to get passed.

7. You shall commit adultery, whenever you feel like it (why not, we do)

8. You shall not steal......that's our job.

9. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor, if they are liberal. Go ahead if they are conseratives.

10. You won't need to covet anything that belongs to your neighbor because once we're done, everyone will have exactly the same things.

I did see it :P

We haven't had the right man for the job in the office for a looooooong time, though ;)
