Mumtaz girl, I cannot offer one sensible answer/advice regarding your tax / I-864 mumbo jumbo, just wanted to say I hope you get it figured out and everything goes smoothly for ya!

I spent a beauuuuuuuuuuuutiful day at the Texoma lake with my family. My dad recently purchased an RV and he and my mom went camping this week, and my sister and I went to surprise them and just showed up there in middle of nowhere in Oklahoma. They just about had a heart attack, I mean I can hardly figure out driving directions in Dallas, let alone on farm roads in OK :) so you can imagine their shock.

It was so beautiful! I am sunburned, look freaking ridiculous, but I don't even care.

You know, I miss my husband so much when things are bad and I need his support, but I miss him oh so much more when things are just perfect and he is not next to me to share a day like this ...

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend as well!

Sounds like a great weekend V.

I just committed myself to running a 1/2 marathon in April -:wacko:

Congratulation , estrella for your visa !

Are the medical forms the same for every country?

How did you schedule for your medical examination?

I am going tomorrow for my medical exam and I have downloaded my medical forms:

Form DS-2053 — Medical Examination for Immigrant or Refugee Applicant

Form DS-3024 — Chest X-Ray Classification Worksheet

Form DS-3025 — Vaccination Documentation Worksheet

Form DS-3026 — Medical History and Physical Examination Worksheet

I decided not to wait anymore for the embassy to send me the medical forms and I made an appointment for medical examination for tomorrow.

I hope everything will be ok .

However , I am curious if you waited for the embassy to send you the medical forms , or you just made an appointment to a designated medical office.

Thank

you .

Please help me with some words, I am quite worried .

Hope I took the right decision .

OK, husband and I read everything that was communicated to us by NVC, we have not heard out of embassy yet. Nowhere did we come across anything that mentions these forms...

When my husband called to schedule his medical exam, none of these forms were mentioned either.

Am I missing something? Does the hubster need to fill out these forms to bring to the medical exam with him? Why is it that I never heard of this before?

Enlighten me, please

So estrella - do you have visa in hand yet?

I have my passport and is stamped and everything... we just got home yesterday night, after a 17 hours drive ha ha.

And yes Pily got hers too, she was in Juarez at the same time that i was and we were messaging each other so yeah congrats to her too :D

And about the forms, we didn't need any form either, they did filled some forms and infact gave me one filled with the vaccines that I got, so maybe those are for the clinic to fill, I could be wrong tho

I shall now add to my misery whilst I ask another simple...stupid and most likely a fore answered question, but this time I will do one better...and make it about the I864!

:D

ahem....right, soooo my question is,

on question 21....sub question g. where it says optional if you are having a relative fill out an i864a then add them to the house hold size. Well, I am having my mother fill out and sign an i864a so I first put 1 for her.....then when proof reading I thought again about my mother and father filing jointly on their taxes.....but since my father didn't sign a i864a I feel like I shouldn't be including him in the household size according to the question........but I just want to make sure. should I include my father....which makes the household size 4. That's myself, Haseeb, my mom and my dad. Or should I keep it at three, minus my dad since he didn't sign a i864a???

Definatley count your dad too since I am sure they file taxes together jointly as being married. 'Household' would mean anyone living together so that would make a total of 4 people, and any other siblings if they live with you.

Some of my best ideas and plans come to when running. It's a time for just me and God with no distractions. Believe it or not I even do a whole lot of math calculations too while running.

I ran this 1/2 marathon several years ago, but my running partner (my mom) decided she really didn't want to run anymore so I kinda gave it up. BAD idea as since then I have put on about 45 pounds.

Thank you for the answers.

I have just come from my medical examination . I am so tired becuase I was there with my 2 little children ( 2 years and 1 year)...it lasted 5 hours .

( from 8 am to 1pm )

My kids became very bored but I am happy everthing went out quite ok.

I was worried about the medical forms just for nothing ,becuase when I went at the designated medical office they had there the medical forms.

So , I am glad that it wasn't necessary for me to wait for the medical forms to be sent to me by mail by the embassy .

Now I have to go to the medical clinic and pick up the results in an hour .

Besides blood work and chest ray and a brief medical consultation ( height , weight ,eye sight , blood pressure ),I had to have a vaccination (ROR)today ,and also my 2 year daughter had to take a vaccination(Hepatitis A Vaccine)....my little son had also to take a vaccination , but the doctor said that my son has a mild laryngitis and needs some treatment before getting his vaccination.

I hope this vaccination that my son couldn't get today won't be any problem for the interview at the embassy.

All in all , the medical examination was easy , especially for someone who doesn't have to go there with 2 little kids I think it is much easier ...

My children didn't have to have chest X rays , nor any blood work...only a brief medical consultation.

Question:

As I wait for cases to complete and Interviews to be scheduled, please provide me with your thoughts on the following.

As my wife and kids are Canadians they are allowed to visit up to six months at a time. The cases and interviews should be completed within the next couple months, do you think Immigration would look down upon me bringing my family here to 'visit' and starting my kids in school (AZ law allows illegals to go to school 'No Kids gets left behind' law) prior to completion of the cases?

Hi There,

Your case will be completed before end of this week if they dont find any missing information. and Interview will be scheduled 2nd week of next month. Now depending on availability there Interview will be scheduled for September. and your family will be here before end of september. and if you dont do what you want to do above, your kids will only miss first couple week of School i guess.

But if you do what you want to do, I dont know about how Immigration will react (unless if anyone has personal experience.)

Chris and Ani - Pily's timeline isn't updated where did you see that they were approved?

And yes Pily got hers too, she was in Juarez at the same time that i was and we were messaging each other so yeah congrats to her too :D

Ok, Pily didn't update their timeline yet, but I know for sure she got the visa on July 15th :)

So, officially, CONRATS Pily

They told him he should attach my college schedule for next semester (as my semester starts on Sept 1st) and a note from the doctor saying I'm pregnant. What NVC told you?

I was advised to send an email. On June 22, 2009 I sent an email requesting the expedite to a supervisor's email address. I have recently heard from another VJ member that their expedite request was declined (was sent two weeks later than mine) and I have yet to hear about mine.

Pasting this from a reply I did in NVC forum. It's pretty detailed and may help.

My package left NVC on 08 May 2008. This is what I did on the site http://track.dhl-usa.com/TrackByRef.asp?nav=TrackByRef

In the "reference" box, I put EXP 07 MAY 2008A (notice that's the day before they said it left)

They must generate their reference and do the packing the day before pick-up because EXP 08 MAY...didn't work.

Below in the "shipment pick up date range" I put May 8 2008 to May 8 2008 (I wanted to see things leaving NVC on only May 8)

Then click the red arrow that says "track"

There were three pages of shipments, so be sure and click "next" which indicates if there are more pages.

I noticed that there were 67 shipments leaving NVC on May 8, but each was to a different country (no duplicates) which tells me that they combine petitions going to the same Embassy. Looking at details on some shipments, the London package was 3 pounds and Manila was 40 pounds, so there must have been many petitions from Manila going together.

I did the same steps above for the previous day (May 7) and there were 16 countries, but they were all different from the May 8 countries. Thats 83 different countries in 2 days, with multiple petitions in many boxes! It kinda gives you an idea that many more petitions are being processed than just the timelines we stare at here on VJ. They may have some order in their mail room where different countries go out on different days of the week. It's just my speculation for what it's worth.

This post seemed to be somewhat insightful, hope it helps

V - how come I can't get this work?????

I tried EXP 11 JULY 2008A and it said NO SHIPMENTS I tried EVERY day from the day I got the interview to the day it was shipped - WTH????????
