hello everyone! Can someone give me advise regarding my husbands visa. I am here as an H1B visa but i alreaddy filed for my green card and just waitining for the visa number. My husband has F1 visa, we just recently got married last Oct. After his graduation last year, he applied for an EAD. He is working right now but his OPT will be expiring on July. My attorney told me that he can file H4 visa for him but he cant work. Is there any other way that we can do so he can still continue working? Thanks!

I think he should find visa sponsor of his own work visa (such as an employer who is willing to suponsor his H1b visa) if he wants to continue working.

I do not know much about employment based GC, but I heard some people can add their spouse on their GC petition. Did you discuss this possibility with your lawyer?

He either needs to find a sponsor, or in order to avoid getting separated, file for the H4 visa.

After you receive your green card, you can file for him but it takes considerably longer for a Permanent Resident to adjust the status of a foreign spouse than it takes a US citizen to do the same.
