They failed already...how much of a brain drain was that?

I think I could lose billions with very little training.

Sounds good - just tell me what you're going to do and I'll do the opposite.

Ahh yes,

then there's the law of -unintended consequences-

Politicians never learn this lesson.

Its actually less of an issue than some make it out to be.

While the cap on direct salary and bonuses will be limited to $500,000. There will be no limit on how much they can receive in stock options. They cannot cash in those stock options until after the TARP money is repaid, but if they want them to be worth anything a couple years down the road, they need to do their jobs.

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Deutsche Bank woos US bankers

By James Wilson in Frankfurt

Published: February 5 2009

The head of Germany’s biggest bank on Thursday laid out the welcome mat to disgruntled American banking executives, suggesting that Barack Obama’s tough curbs on boardroom pay could encourage the best to defect to overseas rivals.

Josef Ackermann, chief executive of Deutsche Bank, predicted that the president’s proposed $500,000 (€390,000) cap on executive pay at US banks that accept large tranches of state aid could help it recruit their most talented people. “If you are only going to be able to pay a $500,000 bonus, I think talent will be happy to work for us. At the end of the day, this is a people business, about who has the best talent,” he said.

Man is made by his belief. As he believes, so he is.

Let 'em go over there. I'm sure there's plenty of qualified people who can do a helluva lot better job than some of these bloated goats.

Interesting... It's pretty obvious though that these execs are still valuable regardless of the scapegoats they've been made out to be.

I'm still trying to figure out exactly what these bankers did so wrong. They were greedy because they invested in what seemed to be profitable? How is greed quantified anyways?

Would they be seen in a better light had they not have accepted government prop-ups?

Finally!

Yep, finally. I am not one to support government involvement which is exactly why I support this SOOOOOOOOOO much. I think they should cap the salary at maybe $50,000. $500,000 is way to much. I also think any company that seeks a governemnt bail out should be forced to give annual donations to PETA, I think they should have to hire certain quotas of minorities, mentally handicapped and gay and lesbian employees. They should also have to pay for advertisements to promote family planning, teacher unions, be forced to donate to MoveOn.org, public television and the National Endowment for the Arts....ALL!!! Make them do it ALL!!!! Then none of these coporations will ever DARE ask the government for MY money. I mean make it DRACONIAN!!!!!!!!! Why stop at this wimpy salary cap thing? Lets go all the way!

When FAILING is more palatable and attractive than taking MY money to bailout a company's STUPID decisons, we will have arrived where we should be!!!!!

The ONLY way anyone can succeed, is if they also have the opportunity to FAIL!!!!!!

VERMONT! I Reject Your Reality...and Substitute My Own!
