Last week we got an email from CRIS saying his EAD had been approved on January 27th and he would get his card in 30 days...

We got an email from CRIS again today saying his EAD was approved on 2/2 and he would get it in 30 days...

What's up with THAT??? Is he going to get 2 cards??? So weird... hope the FIRST one is the right one... hoping to get it in 3 weeks instead of 4....

Anyone else have this happen to them?

Yes, we got an email on January 20th saying that they had ordered production of my husband's card on the 19th and then we got another email on January 28th saying the same thing. His card actually came on around the 27th or 28th of January. So it was a little over a week. We were also nervous because we didn't know which date would be the correct one. We haven't recvd another card.

LOVE IS UNIVERSAL!

Getting more than one approval notice is definitely normal.... I got several duplicate approvals myself.

Oct. 9/03... I-129F sent to NSC

June 10/04... K-1 Interview - APPROVED!!!!

July 31/04... Entered U.S.

Aug. 28/04... WEDDING DAY!!!!

Aug. 30/04... I-485, I-765 & I-131 sent to Seattle

Dec. 10/04... AOS Interview - APPROVED!!!!! (Passport stamped)

Sept. 9/06... I-751 sent to NSC

May 15/07... 10-Yr. PR Card arrives in the mail

Sept. 13/07... N-400 sent to NSC

Aug. 21/08... Interview - PASSED!!!!

Sept. 2/08... Oath Ceremony

Sept. 5/08... Sent in Voter Registration Card

Sept. 9/08... SSA office to change status to "U.S. citizen"

Oct. 8/08... Applied in person for U.S. Passport

Oct. 22/08... U.S. Passport received

DONE!!! DONE!!! DONE!!! DONE!!!

KAELY (K-2 Visa)

Apr. 6/05... DS-230, Part I faxed to Vancouver Consulate

May 26/05... K-2 Interview - APPROVED!!!!

Sept. 5/05... Entered U.S.

Sept. 7/05... I-485 & I-131 sent to CLB

Feb. 22/06... AOS Interview - APPROVED!!!!! (Passport NOT stamped)

Dec. 4/07... I-751 sent to NSC

May 23/08... 10-Yr. PR Card arrives in the mail

Mar. 22/11.... N-400 sent to AZ

June 27/11..... Interview - PASSED!!!

July 12/11..... Oath Ceremony

I can beat two - I got three ;)

If I had to guess:

Presumably the first ('card production ordered') is generated when the adjudicator rubber-stamps the file as approved for production.

Presumably the second ('card production ordered') is generated when the relevant data gets sent to the production people.

Presumably the third ('approval notice sent') means it's been produced and is actually in the mail.

Adjustment of Status from K-1 (Very abridged version)

05/20/08 - POE: Chicago O'Hare

07/18/08 - Married

08/30/08 - I-485/I-765 mailed...

03/17/09 - Card production ordered (no notification received!)

03/26/09 - Green card received (196 days)

Removal of Conditions

02/15/11 - I-751 mailed to VSC...

02/22/11 - NOA1 (received 03/03/11)

04/04/11 - Biometrics appt (notice received 03/19/11)

08/22/11 - * * * t u m b l e w e e d s * * * (T+6 months and counting)

09/20/11 - Service Request #1

10/26/11 - Service Request #2

11/29/11 - Interview @ Atlanta Field Office - Approved & I-551 stamped

12/07/11 - Card production ordered

12/10/11 - Green card received (293 days)
