my LPR husband filed I-130 at CSC for me and to our 2 kids with PD january 2005. we got approved october 2008 and received a letter from NVC that our case was send to them by USCIS aside from this letter until now we didn't hear anything from them. when do we expect further progress of our case or when do we expect another letter from NVC. Is there anyone with the same PD or situation like ours? please share your experience and timelines. thank you!

CALL THE NVC AT 603-334-0700. IF YOU DON'T HAVE YOUR NEW NVC CASE NUMBER THEN YOU CAN USE YOUR USCIS CASE NUMBER TO FIND OUT THE STATUS. FROM WHAT I KNOW RIGHT NOW THERE ARE SOME CASES THAT HAVE BEEN SENT TO THE NVC, BUT THAT ARE NOT CURRENT, AND THERE ARE NO VISA NUMBERS AVAILBALE FOR THEM, SO THEY ARE BEING DETAINED THERE UNTIL A NUMBER BECOMES AVAILABLE. YOUR BEST BET IS JUST TO CALL THE NVC AND SPEAK TO AN OPERATOR THAT WILL BE ABLE TO TELL YOU THE EXACT STATUS OF YOUR CASE.

HOPE THIS HELPS AND GOOD LUCK!!

we have already NVC case number (MNLXXXXXXX). aside from calling NVC is there any other way for me to know the status of our case?

based on the visa bulletin, they're processing petitions on or before june 1 2004 for philippines... yours was filed 2005 so you still have some ways to go... check the visa bulletin every month... they update it every month... go here www.travel.state.gov/visa then click on visa bulletin

Hi Shelee,

The NVC and your local US embassy will contact you around the time your priority date becomes current. Currently, visas are available for F2a cases, LPR petitioning spouse and children under 21 years old, with a PD earlier than June 1, 2004 for Filipinos. You may have another 6-12 months before you begin the consular processing step.

You can check on current PD by looking at the visa bulletin at http://travel.state.gov/visa/frvi/bulletin...letin_1360.html.

hello vj menbers! Ive been trying to call NVC (603-334-0700) using budget card from PLDT a lot of times but so sad the voice prompt keep on telling me THE SYSTEM CANNOT UNDERSTAND MY INPUT. the voice prompt says for english please press 1 which i did everytime i hear it. why is that? Im a little bit anxious now because for what I have read in some of the discussion here the NVC starts sending forms or letter of instructions approximately 6-9 months before the PD becomes current and my PD is just 6 monts behing from the current PD (january 2005) and until now I havent received anything from NVC aside from the 1 letter which received by my husband on oct 2008 stating that our case was sent to them by USCIS. anyone on this forum from philippines with the same or almost close to my pD who already received forms or letter form NVC? please let me know and share your timelines. anyway F2A is my category. thanks!

You can always get a NBI clearance update when it gets closer to interview time.

Be sure and have extra NSO documents as the kids will need them when they get to the US. Easier to get while you're still in RP.

It would be a good idea to get checked for TB NOW. If it shows up at your interview you'll increase the time to get visas. I had my wife and anak do so. Turned out anak had primary complex and she was cured before the St. Lukes medical. No delays for sputum test or treatment.

im lovey pala. 21y.o. i have some questions to ask. my priority date is march 2003. my petition category is f2a based. i received the choice of agent packet twice. i first didnt write my lola as my agent. then second time i did write her as my agent. the agent should be the petitioner ba? or its ok anybody as long as i choose her as my agent. then, i received the packet which told me to pay for the iv fee which is 400 dollars so my lola paid 400$ after i forward the packet to her. how long will it take to received the d 23o packet or the iv packet? last sept. 17, 2008 nya binayaran yun. wala pa rin kc akong updates. am 21 y.o na pala. will my age affect the delay of the process? my lola told me na there was a new law about aging out. how will i inquire about my case? help me. thanx

Why is it that the only one who can stop the crying is the one who started it in the first place?
