Ollie had his interview today, and it went great, except... They said the standard visa processing time was 5-7 days and they may not send the visa till the 21st, and this is standard?? I thought the visa was usually delivered within 1-2 days from the London embassy. Based on that assumption, i booked his return flight for the 18th. made the reservation a month ago. It's going to be expensive to change.

So... did he just get the standard party line here, or do they really now take a week to get visas out??

I only had my interview yesterday, so i guess its a bit to soon for me to know yet, i seem to have to days on you since im due to fly out.

Yes i will IM you if i recive it.

BTW dont even try calling the embassy or the SMS courier service i did both and came away with no information at all.

was just reading back thru history and someone else got their passport back in 2 days despite the 7 day warning. We'll see! I know Ollie paid for the extra service (before 8 am) and what-not. I suppose if he doesn't have it by Saturday morning, we'll rebook. :|

My K3 visa was delivered in 2 days , my CR1 visa was delivered the day sfter the interview, so dont worry

I called the SMS mail service today they dont have me in the system (i used NO 1 on the automated system).... They said they pick up passports on an afternoon and to call after 2 this afternoon.

Hope this helps Latitudes. They also said 2 - 3 days for the visa to be ready and then 2 days for the courier to get it to the client.

Looks like im gonna miss my flight next tuesday:((((

This shouldn't happen if you paid extra for the expedited delivery....I would be calling the consulate...

I called the consulate, they can give me NO information about when the visa will be ready.

OK i gave the SMS man the money and handed in the pink courier slip (£21, i think) for a BEFORE 8 delivery. This was on Tuesday 13th June.

I called the SMS courier company and they said they have nothing on file yet, but to call back after 2, cause thats when they do the pick up from embassy.

The embassy said all they have in the comp is that i turned up for interview and that there is no more info on there, he said it takes 48 hours for the info to be input:(

I had my interview on Monday 12th at 10:30.

& I too have been worring about my passport/visa arriving, even though I'm not actually flying out until Septemeber.

You'll be glad to know that a few minutes ago it arrived.

It was just a guy in a Fiesta, didnt look particularly official or anything, not even a delivery van, but the main thing is I have my passport in hand with visa

Going on my time scale, hopefully you should get it within a day or 2
