it may not be survival of the fittest in the same as it once was ... but human evolution continues. if you do not make it to adulthood and reproduce due to an inherited, genetic or infectious disease ... you decrease the chance of passing on those defective genes.

simply put ... as long as our gene pool continues to change ... we continue to evolve.

i can, however, give you a link that should evoke further thinking about evolution: 8 new species discovered ... these species have been in this cave for millions of years ... they too will evolve since their habitat has been altered (due to the discovery).

You could always try a natural method of getting rid of them, I bet they wouldn't see it coming. Tea Tree Oil apparently works well. Thankfully, I've never had to try it
