:whistle:Looks like you are pretty much done with paperwork (for two years at least)! :) Congratulations!!!

I had my interview on January 13, 09 and the Immigration officer said the same thing except that I am getting a permanent green card and I was given an RFE because I missed to get the shot I needed to get (Td). She gave me a month to get it done. A week after my interview I had it all done and submitted and probably a few days later or week later, my case status changed. They have ordered my card for production on January 31st and said it should be in the mail in 30 days. I also called the USCIS customer service to verify and the person I spoke to told me that I AM APPROVED.

If you signed up for email updates, they should send you something in your email telling you the most recent update on your case.

Hi,

I got my AOS interview today at USCIS Dallas Field office. The interview last for about 20-30 minutes. During the interview, the officer ask basic questions to my wife such as what's her name, address, date of birth, wedding date, place of birth, SSN, date and place of our wedding. Then she asked me my name, passport, address, SSN, dad's first name, mother's first name, if my parents came to the wedding or not. She also took my I-94, but she didn't take my EAD because she said she didn't need it. Then, she asked if we have proofs that we're together, so we give copies of our joint bank accounts, credit cards, my IRA with my wife as the sole beneficiary, car insurance. She also looked at our wedding pictures and took couples of our wedding pics. She asked how we met, when we met, and when she looked through our wedding pics, she said the wedding cake looks really nice. She asked about few people on the wedding pics, such as my wife's grandma, my sister.

My wife and I felt pretty good during interview and it went pretty relax I think.

Before the interview was ended, she looked through all the documentation to make sure she has all the documents she needs. She said we should receive the card in the mail within 3-4 weeks and she also mentioned about conditional green card and said that we need to remove the conditional status of the green card within 90 days of expiration of green card. However, I asked if I was approved (and I didn't get a stamp on my passport) and she said everything looks good, but she could not give decision if I was approved or not because all the documentation needs to be reviewed again and if nothing comes up, I will get the card in 3-4 weeks. She said this because there was a case that something came up after the interview was done and that person didn't get approved. She said she didn't want to say I was approved, but then later on something came up and caused the AOS to be not approved. She said again that everything looks good. When she walked us through the door, she reminded us to not forget about removing the conditional status within 90 days of green card expiration.

What do you think about my interview? Do you think I got approved?

Hi Wabbit R,

I signed up on USCIS website to get notification for any updates. When I looked my case online, the latest updates was about a week before my AOS interview and that's about it. That's why I'm kind of a little bit worried that I have not received any updates on my AOS case (although it's just been a few days since my interview)

To everyone who will have AOS interview in Irving, TX, it's OK to bring cell phone in (as I saw people using cell phones while waiting). Also, the system that they use for AOS interview is based on your appointment time. What I'm trying to say is, the officers already know who's gonna be getting interview on that day. When I got there, I just showed my appointment letter to the security and he said to wait until my name is called. The officer who interviewed me didn't even look or take the appointment letter.

We still have not receive any updates online on our AOS case (if I was approved or not) since our AOS interview on Tuesday, Feb 3'09. Is that a bad sign?

I wouldn't be worried about this if I were you.. I got email from the USCIS this week about my AP and EAD, three days after it apparently was approved.. then the same day I received an invitation letter from the USCIS for my interview in March and when I check on their website, it still says that the last touch was on the date that I had my biometrics and when I call their computer only says the thing about that they have received it in December and that it is still pending.. fact is, USCIS are known to not update the statusses once in a while, often people get approved (for example during the I129F process) or get their cards (in the AOS process) without their statusses being updated.

I can imagine it worries you though, it would worry me too but yah, they are known to not update the status on their website. You should try not to worry until a month from now (and I know it is easier said than done, I wouldn't think it would be easy either but it is the truth).

N400 Timeline:

12/14/11 - Sending out N400 package

12/19/11 - Received by USCIS

12/21/11 - NOA date

12/22/11 - Check cashed

12/27/11 - Received NOA

02/06/12 - Received yellow letter (pre-interview case file review)

03/13/12 - Placed in line for interview scheduling (3 yr anniversary)

03/17/12 - Received interview letter

04/17/12 - Interview - No decision, application under further review

04/17/12 - Biometrics

04/25/12 - Placed in line for oath scheduling (so I'm approved yay!)

04/27/12 - Received oath ceremony date

05/09/12 - Oath ceremony!!

I finally received an approval notice and welcome notice in the mail for my AOS case today. YAY!!!

To everyone who has his/her interview done and still did not receive any updates online, but your officer told you that you're approved verbally or the officer thought everything looks good, you don't have to be worry if you don't receive any updates online. You will eventually receive the approval notice and welcome notice in the mail. In my case, I never receive any updates on my AOS status online (it's still say pending online), but I received those two notices in the mail today (11 days after my AOS interview).
